Liam Rosenior has insisted that Cole Palmer is happy at Chelsea – but speculation continues to swirl around his future nonetheless.<\/p>\n

The forward has been linked with Manchester United, with reports suggesting he is unsettled at Stamford Bridge just two-and-a-half years after arriving.<\/p>\n

According to The Sun, Palmer would welcome interest from United, who he supported as a boy. However, odds suggest that talk is premature.<\/p>\n

Cole Palmer ‘Very, Very Happy’ At Chelsea<\/h2>\n

Speaking this week, Rosenior admitted he was not surprised by the latest rumours, believing they were linked to the Blues’ managerial change.<\/p>\n

He also declared that Palmer is “very, very happy” at Chelsea.<\/p>\n

“There’s no reason for assurance,” said Rosenior. “It’s so unrealistic. It’s come from nowhere. There’s nothing in it. There’s no reason to have the conversation. That’s where I’m at.<\/p>\n

“Cole is very happy. I’ve had numerous conversations with him. Our thoughts are on how we can make this team better, how he can improve and how I can help him.<\/p>\n

“He loves being here and he wants to be a Chelsea player. You can’t stop speculation, but some speculation is so far from the truth. There’s no point in having a discussion about it.”<\/p>\n

His comments came despite claims that Palmer misses his hometown of Wythenshawe, where he returns to see family and friends. A big move to United would therefore make sense.<\/p>\n

But Palmer is still viewed as irreplaceable at Chelsea and he is not itching to leave.<\/p>\n

However, this hasn’t stopped the markets from tipping Old Trafford as his likely next destination.<\/p>\n

Cole Palmer Next Club Odds Revealed<\/h2>\n

At the time of writing, Manchester United are the favourites at 14\/1 – but the price suggests a move is not imminent.<\/p>\n

Clearly, even this is a long shot, with market movements based on mere speculation.<\/p>\n

The facts certainly aren’t in United’s favour. After all, Palmer signed a nine-year contract when he joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2024, tying him down until 2033.<\/p>\n

That means only a staggering bid in excess of \u00a3100million would be enough to bring the Blues to the negotiating table, while United would also have to stump up wages worth \u00a3250,000.<\/p>\n

Quite simply, they cannot afford these demands.<\/p>\n

A switch to Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, has been priced at 20\/1, as has a transfer to Barcelona.<\/p>\n

Market sentiment suggests Palmer is all but certain to stay at Chelsea, but his future could be thrown into question again in the summer.<\/p>\n

He is doing the business on the pitch this season, having registered two assists in the thrilling 3-2 victory at Napoli in the Champions League on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

The result saw Chelsea set a new record<\/a> in the competition.<\/p>\n

What Will He Do Next?<\/h2>\n

United would be foolish not to follow up the speculation with an enquiry.<\/p>\n

But recent reports have indicated that the superstar would be out of their price range, while they are prioritising strengthening other positions.<\/p>\n

They also cannot offer Palmer any European football, whereas his current club can.<\/p>\n

However, Chelsea are adrift at 18\/1 in the latest Champions League betting odds<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Barcelona are also effectively out of the race. They are more likely to sign Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal at the end of the season, with the on-loan Red Devils ace impressing on loan.<\/p>\n
