Major UK bookmakers have officially suspended betting on Kalvin Phillips joining Sheffield United on loan.<\/p>\n

The move, which has gathered pace over the last 24 hours, would see the Manchester City flop join until the end of the season.<\/p>\n

For Phillips, the move represents more than just a return closer to home – it is a desperate attempt to resuscitate a career that has stalled since his \u00a345 million move from Leeds United in 2022.<\/p>\n

The Final Straw At The Etihad<\/h2>\n

Phillips’ time under Pep Guardiola has been nothing short of a sporting tragedy.<\/p>\n

Despite arriving as one of the most coveted midfielders in Europe, the 30-year-old has never looked comfortable in City’s intricate system.<\/p>\n
