Hogan Memorial Cross Country Chase (5yo+) 3m1f RTV<\/h3>\n<p>Former Irish Gold Cup winner, Conflated is now 12 and has been running in Points &#8211; but Jack Kennedy prefers the other Gordon Elliott runner The Goffer.<\/p>\n<p>He was fifth in the race last year &#8211; but beaten a massive 31 lengths, so does have a fair bit of ground to make up on last year&#8217;s winner <strong>VANILLIER,<\/strong> who is also back for more.<\/p>\n<p>But is 14lbs better off this time with the 2025 winner and should go close.<\/p>\n<p>However, the 2023 Grand National runner-up (Vanillier) landed this prize by 18 lengths last season and after a fine third at Haydock in the Last Fling Chase at Haydock should be spot on for his title defence.<\/p>\n<p>Of the rest, Cavalry Master and Shannon Royale are proven course winners, which is a plus over this Cross Country course.<\/p>\n<p>While trainer Enda Bolger has a top record in the contest &#8211; ThatPrizeGuy.co.uk Maiden Hurdle (4yo+) 2m RTV<\/h3>\n<p>Willie Mullins has won the last two runnings of this maiden hurdle and he&#8217;s taken to make it three.<\/p>\n<p>He runs Mino Des Mottes with Danny Mullins riding, but also has <strong>TOO BOSSY FOR US<\/strong> here, and he&#8217;s the pick for Paul Townend too.<\/p>\n<p>This 5yo was last seen running on the flat, when down the field in the Irish Cesarewitch at the Curragh in September.<\/p>\n<p>But has only had two runs over hurdles, one of which was a fair 7th in last season&#8217;s Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.<\/p>\n<p>Mullins also won the race last year with his Breeders&#8217; ThatPrizeGuy.co.uk Novice Handicap Hurdle (4yo+) 2m3f RTV<\/h3>\n<p>Another open affair &#8211; just the seven runners but you can certainly make cases for them all.<\/p>\n<p>With both recent winners of the race carrying low weights, then James The Brave is noted with just 10st.<\/p>\n<p>But does need to bounce back from being pulled up last time.<\/p>\n<p>Needs Must will draw the eye for Gordon Elliott and won well at Fairyhouse last time. However, is up a big-looking 10lbs<\/p>\n<p>Lough Nigara was a course winner here last time but is up 8lbs.<\/p>\n<p>While Mojoe is the only CD winner in the field, but also up 6lbs from that last win.<\/p>\n<p>But it&#8217;s also hard to ignore the top SR&#8217;s of both Mullins and Townend over hurdles here (see below) &#8211; they team up with <strong>LUMIERE DU LARGE.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This 5yo Gigginstown runner has been running in much better races &#8211; including 10th in the Triumph Hurdle last season at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/new-cheltenham-festival-2026-running-order-schedule\/\">Cheltenham Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Into calmer surroundings here will help and a recent 4th to since.<\/p>\n<p>Frankie&#8217;s Freebie and Bergamasquo are others to note.<\/p>\n<p>But it&#8217;s hard to ignore the good record of the Willie Mullins yard here &#8211; winning the last two runnings.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, their runner here <strong>FILLYOUREYE<\/strong> has been a tad disappointing this term over hurdles.<\/p>\n<p>But his run last time looks too bad to be true having raced a bit keen.<\/p>\n<p>Has had a month to get over that and prior to that had run okay, albeit second both times, this season.<\/p>\n<p>With his second to Zanoosh here in December a fair effort &#8211; a well recently and should in the in the mix too.<\/p>\n<p>But a chance is taken on last year&#8217;s winner<strong> LUCKY LIV<\/strong> bouncing back to form.<\/p>\n<p>She won this race 12 months ago rated 101 and is now just a pound higher.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, three runs this season have been poor, but the return to this track, where she&#8217;s 1-3, could spark her back to life.<\/p>\n<p>John
