The undulating nature of the Goodwood track makes it a difficult place for juvenile newcomers to win and those that are beaten but run well \u2013 defined as finishing seven lengths or less behind the winner \u2013 often make good bets at the second time of asking, with 29 of the 89 qualifiers since the beginning of 2021 proving successful (32.6% strike-rate) for a profit of \u00a328.85 to a \u00a31 level stake at SP (expected winners = 19.59, A\/E = 1.48).<\/p>\n
