Hello FPL fans, my name is Pingreen, and I\u2019m back to provide my favourite picks as I run through FPL tips for Gameweek 5<\/strong><\/p>\n

I finished 700th in the world in 22\/23 and 1330th last year, so it\u2019s very important you take my advice seriously.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve now completed four Gameweeks, and it\u2019s been an odd season so far. It feels like, other than Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland, no one knows how to score any points. <\/span><\/p>\n

The million-dollar question is: Can you fit them both in your team? It\u2019s certainly possible, and a common theme amongst this week\u2019s picks is a low price point, helping you get that premium double-up you\u2019ve been dreaming of.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pingreen’s FPL Tips For Gameweek 5<\/h2>\n

Captain Pick \u2013 Mohamed Salah \u2013 12.7m \u2013 BOU (H)<\/b><\/h4>\n

Erling Haaland looks to be “out of form” after not scoring midweek against Inter Milan. I\u2019m joking, of course, but for once, I don\u2019t think the Norwegian is the best captain pick for the upcoming week. With Haaland facing arguably the best defense in the league in Arsenal, I\u2019ll be putting my faith in the Egyptian King instead.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many people may not realize this, but through the first four Gameweeks of the season, Salah and Haaland were completely equal on points. <\/span><\/p>\n

The latter pulled ahead last week, but I\u2019m confident Liverpool will bounce back in a big way against Bournemouth on Saturday after a disappointing result last weekend. I firmly believe Salah is the best captain choice this week, and I don\u2019t even think it\u2019s particularly close.<\/span><\/p>\n

Defender \u2013 Leif Davis \u2013 \u00a34.5m \u2013 SOU (A)<\/b><\/h4>\n

As mentioned in the introduction, there\u2019s a bit of a budget theme this week, and where better to start than with Ipswich Town fullback Leif Davis?<\/span><\/p>\n

Last season in the Championship, the left-back racked up 17 goal contributions, and he\u2019s already recorded an assist this campaign against Fulham. <\/span><\/p>\n

Obviously, the Premier League is full of higher-quality teams than the Tractor Boys faced in the Championship, but Southampton, who they face this weekend, are not one of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

It seems whoever was in charge of fixture arrangements might have been a Norwich fan, making Ipswich face Liverpool and Manchester City in their first two games back in the top flight, conceding six goals in the process. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, they\u2019ve since shown they can defend as a unit, conceding only once to Fulham and keeping a clean sheet in a tough away trip to Brighton. With the fixtures now turning for the better, I don\u2019t think there\u2019s a budget defender with more upside than the Ipswich Town man.<\/span><\/p>\n

Midfielder \u2013 Morgan Rogers \u2013 \u00a35.1m \u2013 WOL (H)<\/b><\/h4>\n

I like to zig while others zag. Morgan Rogers was an incredibly popular pick at the start of the season, looking fantastic value at just \u00a35.0m and impressing FPL<\/a> managers and Villa fans alike in pre-season. <\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, four weeks into the campaign, he\u2019s given his owners more headaches than points, leading many managers to consider moving him out of their side.<\/span><\/p>\n

And then there\u2019s me. I\u2019m looking to bring him in. I still think the Villa man will prove to be well worth his now slightly increased \u00a35.1m price tag. <\/span><\/p>\n

He\u2019s clearly getting into the right positions, averaging 0.4 xG+xA per 90 so far \u2013 the end product just hasn\u2019t been there. With Wolves, Ipswich, and then Manchester United on the horizon, I\u2019m sure he\u2019ll find his shooting boots soon and make many managers regret unceremoniously dumping him from their teams.<\/span><\/p>\n

Forward \u2013 Jamie Vardy \u2013 \u00a35.7m \u2013 EVE (H)<\/b><\/h4>\n

Isak, Pedro, Muniz, Adam Armstrong\u2026 there\u2019s a strong chance you own at least one of these strikers, and an equally strong chance they won\u2019t start in Gameweek 5. <\/span><\/p>\n

Other than the Norwegian robot, strikers have been a nightmare this season. If you\u2019re looking for a replacement, perhaps it\u2019s time to crack open a Red Bull and stop ignoring old FPL and Leicester favorite Jamie Vardy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 38-year-old has already netted twice this campaign and is averaging 0.44 xG+xA per 90 across the opening four games in his return to the top flight. <\/span><\/p>\n

With a promising fixture run starting with Everton on Saturday, it\u2019s worth having Vardy in your side when Leicester inevitably overcome a 2-0 deficit to hand Everton their third successive 3-2 defeat.<\/span><\/p>\n
