The Manchester United vs Tottenham referee has been announced ahead of Sunday’s clash at Old Trafford.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Surprisingly, the Premier League<\/a> have named Chris Kavanagh as the match official. The 39-year-old was born and raised in Ashton-under-Lyne, a market town in Tameside, Greater Manchester.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, Kavanagh is not known to support anyone. At least that has been made public knowledge. Therefore, his integrity in that respect hasn’t come into question in terms of favouring anyone whilst officiating.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils will be looking to get back to winning ways after their goalless draw at Crystal Palace. Andre Onana proving the hero with a sublime double save<\/a> in the second-half.<\/p>\n

Spurs are looking for consecutive wins after seeing off Brentford on home soil last time out. Dominic Solanke scored his first goal for the club since making a summer switch from Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Kavanagh will be assisted by Lee Betts and Richard West. Fourth official duties fall to Craig Pawson with Peter Bankes and Simon Long on VAR.<\/p>\n

Kavanagh was actually on VAR duties during United’s draw with the Eagles on gameweek 5. Many thought he should have instructed referee David Coote to give a penalty for an apparent handball. Scroll down for the clip.<\/p>\n
