Mikel Arteta has admitted to being “more than influenced” by Jose Mourinho and has also addressed the “dark arts” allegations made by Manchester City players following their recent draw.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arteta “More Than Influenced” By Mourinho<\/h2>\n

Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard<\/a> was sent off in the game for kicking the ball away, a similar offence that led to Declan Rice’s dismissal<\/a> earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Arteta<\/a>, seemingly taking a page from Mourinho’s coaching manual, employed a defensive strategy, parking the bus in front of David Raya to protect their lead against Man City’s<\/a> attacking onslaught.<\/p>\n

Although Arsenal ultimately conceded a late equaliser, Arteta’s defensive tactics showcased his ability to adapt and employ strategies reminiscent of Mourinho’s successful tenure at various clubs.<\/p>\n

When asked about Mourinho’s influence, Arteta stated, “More than influence, I think you learn a lot from other top coaches and you try to understand why they\u2019ve been successful. But if it goes in a different direction, do you have the ability to adapt?”<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
