As Mikel Arteta’s high-flying Gunners host League One opposition, here’s our Arsenal Vs Bolton predicted lineups and team news for tonight’s Carabao Cup meeting at the Emirates.<\/b><\/p>\n

Arsenal<\/a> are fourth in the Premier League<\/a> after their thrilling, 2-2 draw at Manchester City<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The ten-man Gunners came from behind to lead 2-1 deep into added time. But John Stones’ 98th-minute equaliser meant the points were shared, as Arsenal came close to a fantastic win.<\/p>\n

Now licking their wounds, they host a side two leagues beneath them but building confidence.<\/p>\n

Bolton Wanderers are 19th in League One after a slow start, but have won two of their last three matches in all competitions, including a 5-2 demolition of Reading.<\/p>\n

Arsenal and Bolton have met 105 times in their history, but have not faced off since Bolton were relegated from the Premier League in 2011\/12.<\/p>\n

The Gunners have won 50 of those meetings to Bolton’s 27, with 28 draws.<\/p>\n

Arsenal Team News<\/h2>\n

Sunday’s draw of attrition cost Arsenal dearly on the fatigue and injury front. The trio of David Raya, Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori were all nursing knocks or suffering with cramp by the end of the City game.<\/p>\n

Arteta may well rest all three for the visit of Bolton in order to keep them fresh for Saturday’s league match with Leicester City.<\/p>\n

Leandro Trossard got himself sent off for kicking the ball away, and misses out through suspension.<\/p>\n

Joining him on the sidelines will be the injured group of Mikel Merino (shoulder), Martin Odegaard<\/a> (ankle), Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee), Oleksandr Zinchenko (calf) and Kieran Tierney (hamstring).<\/p>\n

Bournemouth<\/a> loanee keeper Neto is cup-tied, meaning David Raya will need to shake off his injury worries or Arteta will be in big trouble in the goalkeeping department.<\/p>\n

With a depleted squad of senior players to rotate through, Arsenal could hand starts to several youngsters such as Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly.<\/p>\n

Bolton Wanderers Team News<\/h2>\n

Bolton, meanwhile, picked up no fresh injury concerns after their thumping win against Reading.<\/p>\n

However, ex-Arsenal man Jordi Osei-Tutu misses out on the chance to face his former club.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old fullback is still recovering from a knee injury, and is one of five Bolton players missing at present.<\/p>\n

All of Carlos Mendes Gomes (achilles), Klaidi Lolos (ankle), Gethin Jones (knee) and Will Forrester are unavailable, with the latter breaking his toe and dislocating his shoulder after falling down the stairs.<\/p>\n

This young Bolton squad features just one player over the age of 30. Thirty-five-year-old Scott Arfield, once of Burnley and Rangers, is the veteran in question, who may be drafted into the starting XI to add some experience.<\/p>\n
