What Is TB12 Inc., the Health and Wellness Company Co-Founded by Tom Brady?

NFL fans are familiar with Tom Brady‘s prowess as one of the most successful players with a plethora of team and personal achievements. But there’s more to the 44-year-old than his accurate and skillful talent on the field.

Brady is also an established entrepreneur with an extensive portfolio. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is the co-founder of TB12, a health and wellness company. He’s also co-founded many other successful ventures and runs a nonprofit called TB12 Foundation. Here’s what you need to know about TB12.

As noted on OSDB, Tom Brady started his NFL career in 2000, signing a two-year contract with the New England Patriots with an average annual salary of $433,250. His value appreciated over the two decades he spent with the Patriots. As expected, Brady’s yearly earnings increased, with his best-ever payday coming in the 2018-19 season when he added an impressive $30 million to his bank account.

Brady ended his historic run with the Patriots in 2020 and signed a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — a team that had missed the playoffs for 12 years. The five-time Super Bowl MVP helped overhaul the team’s culture of losing matches despite having a star-studded roster. He transformed them into victors, helping them win the Super Bowl in 2021.

Brady announced his retirement in January 2022, ending a decorated 22-year career. His responsibilities of fatherhood, duties as a husband, and business pursuit outweighed his love of the game. Only 40 days later, he came out of retirement and announced he’ll be back for his 23rd season to complete “unfinished business.”

What is TB12 Inc.?

TB12 is one of Tom Brady’s companies, which he co-founded with Alex Guerrero, his body coach, in 2013. As profiled by Bloomberg, the health and wellness company provides fitness products, including nutritional supplements created to boost hydration, strength, cognitive function, and nutrition. Headquartered in Foxborough, Massachusetts, TB12 serves customers around the world.

TB12 empowers athletes to alleviate injuries, enhance longevity, and boost peak performance. The TB12 training method is inspired by Brady’s own training routine based on Guerrero’s philosophy that “a holistic approach to health and wellness begins with pliability.”

The company operates a mobile app that allows clients and fitness enthusiasts to access professional body coaches who provide fitness instructions backed by immersive digital experiences and innovative products. TB12 also sells exercise equipment, apparel, and accessories, such as resistance kits, tops, and bottoms.

The TB12 Foundation: TB12’s philanthropic division

The TB12 Foundation was established in 2015 by Brady to encourage athletes across the world to keep pushing despite the odds. The nonprofit aims to help athletes alleviate injuries and improve longevity, so they stay on the field, court, or track for longer.

Through the foundation, many at-risk athletes have accessed professional practitioners and tailored training programs, from pliability therapies and functional strength to overcoming injuries and hurdles that could otherwise peg back their progress.

But T12 Inc. and T12 Foundation are not the only organizations Brady has invested in. He is also the founder of the BRADY brand, co-founder of award-winning sports media production company Religion of Sports, and co-founder of NFT platform Autograph. Furthermore, Brady owns shares in Under Armor, Class Technologies, Omaze, 199 Productions, and HODINKEE.

He’s also authored The TB12 Method: How to Achieve a Lifetime of Sustained Peak Performance.
