The fifth collaboration between Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler is Sinners. View the predictions and odds for Sinners’ opening weekend box office total.

What Is Sinners About?

Sinners is a supernatural horror movie set in the Southern United States in the 1930s.

Jordan plays Smoke and Stack, twin brothers who return to their hometown for a new start.

When the brothers return, the town has been inhabited by a sinister, vampiric presence.

Now, Smoke, Stack, and the rest of their friends must band together to defeat the “greater evil” present in some of the town’s residents.

Sinners stars Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, and Delroy Lindo.

Coogler writes and directs Sinners while producing alongside Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian.

Warner Bros. will release Sinners in theaters on April 18, 2025.

The odds expect Sinners to have a huge opening weekend domestically.

Sinners should easily open to the north of $37 million (-1900).

Frankly, that’s too low. If you can find higher projections, check out those numbers because Sinners should overperform thanks to favorable reviews and strong word of mouth.

Warner Bros. remains modest in its projections, with a $35 million to $40 million opening.

Do not be surprised if Sinners gets to $50 million. That’s how much goodwill Jordan and Coogler have with audiences.
