Von Miller is a few years removed from being one of the top pass rushers in the NFL. But despite his advancing age and current status as a free agent, the 36-year-old is hoping to continue his career by signing with a team for the upcoming 2025 season.
Will Von Miller Continue His NFL Career?
And according to the betting odds, the Dallas Cowboys are the team that is most likely to bring Von Miller in. The oddsmakers at BetOnline have given Jerry Jones’ team a designation of +350 to sign the veteran, which are implied odds of 22.2%. Dallas would likely see Miller as a depth piece, as they already brought in Dante Fowler Jr. and Payton Turner in free agency and spent a second round pick on a pass rusher.
Free-agent OLB Von Miller says he wants to play at least one more season before retirement:
“I’m a locker-room guy through and through, and I can still roll out of the bed and rush the passer. That’s what I got.”

Other teams aren’t far behind on the odds board. Just behind the Cowboys are the Kansas City Chiefs at +450, who could use some help on the end of the defensive line. The Super Bowl runner-ups finished 19th in the NFL in total sacks in 2024, and are returning essentially the same group of pass rushers. It would give Miller a chance to nab a third championship ring in what could be his final season.
Another team he could ring chase with is the Baltimore Ravens, who have the fourth-shortest odds of landing Miller at +700. Some of the other intriguing possibilities include the Los Angeles Chargers (+1600), Washington Commanders (+1800), and Detroit Lions (+2800).
- Dallas Cowboys +350
- Kansas City Chiefs +450
- New York Jets +500
- Baltimore Ravens +700
- Pittsburgh Steelers +800
Von Miller has enjoyed an elite and illustrious career up to this point. He has Super Bowl wins as a member of both the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams, and once notched 10+ sacks seven times in an eight year stretch. He has 8 Pro Bowl and 7 NFL All-Pro appearances, including three of the First Team variety.
Miller spent the last three seasons with the Buffalo Bills. He had an unusually poor performance in 2023, as he notched just three tackles and failed to record a sack in 258 snaps. He had something of a bounce back year in 2024 by posting 6 sacks in 279 snaps, proving that he may have enough in the tank to be a contributor for at least another season.
