Despite being the most popular player in the WNBA, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark ranked nearly outside of the top 10 in the WNBA All-Star Game player voting.
Caitlin Clark Slighted In Player Voting

Clark received the most fan votes for the WNBA All-Star Game with 1,293,526 votes. That is a new record for fan votes.
Clark’s peers do not feel the same way about her as the fans do. Clark was the ninth-ranked guard in the player voting.
Despite only playing nine games due to injury, Clark is averaging 18.2 points and 8.9 assists per game. Whether you love or hate Clark, the numbers say she’s much better than the ninth-ranked player at the guard position.
Because Clark received the most fan votes, she was named a captain for the 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game. The WNBA announced that Clark and Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx will be the two captains for this year’s game.
Collier is the MVP frontrunner, ranking first in scoring (24.5 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (8.4 rpg). Collier has helped the Lynx to a WNBA-leading 13-2 record.
