Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson are two of the biggest names in sports media.
Andrews has been the lead sideline reporter for FOX’s NFL coverage since she joined the network in 2012. Since then, she has covered four Super Bowls, 10 NFC Championship games, and the 2014 and 2015 MLB World Series and All-Star games.
Charissa Thompson hosts three NFL shows. Thompson hosts FOX NFL Kickoff, Prime Video Thursday Night Football pregame show, and the acclaimed highlight and interview show “NFL Films Presents” on FS1. She has been a prominent face of FS1 since the network launched in August 2013 and is highly recognized for her versatility as a host and reporter in sports and entertainment.
The duo hosts a podcast called “Calm Down with Erin and Charissa.” They discuss numerous topics, including sports, entertainment, and their lives.
FOX Sports has inked the two best friends to a new deal.
Erin Andrews & Charissa Thompson Sign Extension With FOX Sports
Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson both started at FOX Sports, then became big stars at ESPN, and later returned to FOX Sports to prominent roles.
Charissa made it clear she was not going to leave FOX. “No, I’m not leaving FOX. I was never leaving FOX,” she told Andrews on their podcast in late April. “I don’t know where this took on a life of its own, where I was hosting my family at the ranch for the past weekend. Four of my family members asked, ‘Well, the place looks great. How are you going to afford it now that you don’t have a job?’ I’m not leaving FOX. I was never leaving FOX. I’m not fired.”
Thompson joked she wants to die at the sports network’s studio lot on Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles. “As I always talk about, Fox is my longest relationship.”
It is a good thing for FOX that they were able to sign the duo to an extension.
The details of their contract are not publicly known, but it is to be assumed they both signed very lucrative deals.
