Many are wondering how Novak Djokovic is feeling after an unfortunate and scary fall at match point in his quarterfinal win.

Djokovic is not scheduled to play Jannik Sinner until Friday.

ESPN’s Pam Schriver broke news that Djokovic is yet to take the court on Thursday for practice. He has a scheduled hit that was delayed, but it is not happening. Like Sinner’s practice changes on Tuesday, this could mean that Djokovic is going a different route with his practice session, or it could mean that he is suffering from stiffness and soreness as a result of that fall.

Ironically, he is playing Sinner who is dealing with his own Wimbledon-inflicted injury to his elbow, also the result of a fall on the grass court.

Both players are the consummate professionals who know how to manage their bodies so there is no reason to believe that either will give less than 100% on Friday even if they are feeling less than 100%.

Djokovic knows that the 2025 Wimbledon Championships would be his golden opportunity to win his 25th career Grand Slam, a feat that put him on top of all the Open Era records that he does not already own.

In other news, Belinda Bencic’s toe injury on Wednesday is far from resolved. The toenail on her big toe is cracked (a common tennis injury), and the remedy is to put a hole on the top of her left shoe to relieve pressure, also per ESPN’s Pam Schriver.

Bencic is about to take the court against Iga Swiatek in the second Wimbledon ladies’ singles semifinal. The winner will face Amanda Anisimova in Saturday’s final.
