Kansas State Has Highest Big 12 Prices, Colorado Not Far Behind

This year, Kansas State takes home the title for the most expensive average get-in price in the Big 12. The figure of $131.50 represents a 142% increase in the school’s prices from a season ago, when they ranked 7th in the conference with an average cost of $54.

Colorado, who had the most expensive get-in prices last year by a long shot, aren’t far behind Kansas State this season. The average cost to see the Buffaloes in 2025 is $130.43, which is actually an 8% drop year-over-year, due in part to the departures of Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.

West Virginia, Utah, and BYU are the other teams in the conference that have average ticket prices of over $100 for the coming season.

Despite being the top-ranked Big 12 team in the AFCA Preseason Polls, Arizona State has the cheapest average get-in price for football games in 2025 at just $25.

Rivalry games dominate the list of most expensive single games in the Big 12 for 2025. The Backyard Brawl between West Virginia and Pitt has the highest price tag of any contest, currently listed at $282 for the cheapest single ticket. Not far behind is the Holy War between Utah and BYU, which will cost at least $255 to attend.

Colorado is also featured in two of the top five most expensive Big 12 games in 2025, on the road against Utah ($224) and at home against Wyoming ($221). The fifth-priciest game in the conference for the year will be played between Iowa and Iowa State in early September.

Big 12 Football Ticket Price Trends (2025 vs 2024)

Several Big 12 teams have seen a huge increase in the demand for tickets on the secondary market, which has led to some notable price hikes for the upcoming college football season. Seven Big 12 teams have seen their ticket prices at least double compared to last season, led by Texas Tech at +233.55%. BYU (+210.29%) and Iowa State (+204.83%) have also seen their ticket prices triple compared to a season ago. Meanwhile, Houston (+174.05%), Kansas State (+143.51%), Cincinnati (+130.17%), and Arizona (+124.35%) fans will have to pay at least twice as much on average to watch their favorite team in action this season.

On the other end of the spectrum, UCF (-11.82%) and Kansas (-10.08%) saw the biggest price drops in the conference. Despite having the second-most expensive ticket prices in the Big 12, the price of Colorado football tickets has actually dropped by -8.14%. Oklahoma State also saw a slight decrease in average get-in prices at -2.22%.
