Jannik Sinner put on a dominant showing in dispatching Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-0, 6-2 in the Cincinnati Open quarterfinals.
The Italian was previously 0-2 against the Canadian including a defeat in Cincinnati but proved how far he’s come along since that 2022 clash.
Sinner’s win also pushed his hard court win streak to 25 matches. That is the eighth-longest such streak on the ATP Tour in the Open Era. His next win would move him into a tie with Andre Agassi, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic for seventh.
The tournaments across which Sinner’s streak spans includes last year’s Shanghai Masters (six matches), ATP Finals (five matches), Davis Cup Finals (three) and this year’s Australian Open (seven) as well as four matches here in Cincinnati.
He missed this year’s Indian Wells and Miami Masters as a result of his three-month ban in a doping settlement.
Turning 24 on Saturday, Sinner is sporting a 26-3 record in 2025. He is the reigning Wimbledon and Australian Open champion. He is also the defending champion at the Cincinnati Open and will be seeking his first U.S. Open title in a couple weeks time.

Federer Holds Longest Hard Court Streak By Big Margin
Sinner still has a very long way to go before he gets close to the longest hard court streak. Federer holds that honor at a scarcely believable 56 wins between 2005-2006. He holds the second-longest streak as well at 36 between 2006 and 2007.
Djokovic holds the third-longest hard court streak at 35 in 2010-2011. Pete Sampras is fourth with a 34-match streak between 1996-1997.
Andy Murray had a 28-match streak between 2016 and 2017 when he became ATP No. 1 for the first time in his career. Nadal’s longest such streak was 26 in 2013 and Agassi’s same streak happened in 1995.
That will be Sinner’s next target when he plays either Holger Rune or Terence Altmane in the semifinals.
Fans will be hoping for another final between Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, the perfect appetizer before Flushing Meadows.
