NASCAR ‘Xfinity’ Series Getting New Name, Entitlement Sponsor

Effective January 1, 2026, the NASCAR Xfinity Series will be no more. At least technically-speaking.

While NASCAR’s No. 2 stock car division will continue to operate business as usual, it will do so under a different name.

That name, the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, comes as the well-known car parts brand will replace Comcast’s Xfinity telecommunications brand as the series’ title sponsor.

O’Reilly Auto Parts Ending Lengthy Run For NASCAR ‘Xfinity’ Series

The 2025 NASCAR season is Xfinity’s 11th as the entitlement sponsor of the sport’s No. 2 stock car division. However, it will mark the end of the sponsorship road for the company, which replaced Nationwide Insurance as entitlement sponsor in 2015.

Originally, the series competed as the Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series, but that only lasted two years. In 1984, it became known as the NASCAR Busch Grand National Series. Much later, in 2003, the series rebranded itself as, simply, the Busch Series, which it remained until Nationwide entered the picture.

Founded in Springfield, Missouri in 1957, O’Reilly Auto Parts has grown from a single store to over 6,400 locations across 48 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Canada. The company employs roughly 92,800 people and operates 31 distribution centers.

“Like the great sport of NASCAR, O’Reilly Auto Parts was born in America and built on the hard work and drive of passionate people,” NASCAR President Steve O’Donnell said in a news release. “This new partnership allows us to continue to fuel that passion for the next generation of NASCAR’s stars and fans while celebrating the journey we’ve been on together for decades.”

O’Reilly Auto Parts Is No Stranger To NASCAR Sponsorships

While O’Reilly Auto Parts’ role as title sponsor of NASCAR’s No. 2 division will be new, the company’s involvement in NASCAR is anything but new. O’Reilly has long supported the sport through various race sponsorships across multiple NASCAR divisions.

Along the way, the brand has become a familiar one to NASCAR drivers, fans and other industry stakeholders.

“Our company is rooted in the same values that define NASCAR — teamwork, enthusiasm, and dedication,” O’Reilly Auto Parts President Brent Kirby said in a news release. “You’ll see those in action when our customers walk through our doors. We know they need fast service, and Team O’Reilly will get them the parts they need quickly, with excellent customer service.

“We welcome all fans to stop by our stores and see how our team can help keep them running.”

NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races will air exclusively on The CW, which is currently in its first year as the Xfinity Series’ TV broadcast partner.

“Partnering with NASCAR and The CW at this level enables us to further deepen our connection to one of the most loyal fanbases in all of sports,” said Hugo Sanchez, O’Reilly Auto Parts’ vice president of Advertising and Marketing. “This agreement builds on our long-term involvement in NASCAR and our dedication to the fans who love cars as much as we do.”
