If their Week 1 performance is any indication, the Miami Dolphins are in for a troubling 2025 NFL season. Their pathetic efforts against the Indianapolis Colts in their opening game have brought about even more questions than they had before, and the future of their players and coaching staff are very likely in limbo.
NFL Trade Rumors: Will Dolphins Cut Ties With Tyreek Hill?
Aside from their quarterback, former All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill is the name most discussed when talking about the Dolphins and their future. Many believed that Miami would try to ship off the aging veteran during the last offseason, but the team’s front office decided to keep him around despite his end-of-year antics in 2024.
Holy Sh*t: Tyreek Hill is CRASHING OUT at today's game.
Expect a trade request sooner than later…

If the Dolphins keep losing like they did in Week 1, Hill is likely to be traded before the deadline in early November. Here are three possible destinations for the 31-year-old pass catcher, and what Miami could possibly receive in return:
3 Possible Trade Destinations For Tyreek Hill
Kansas City Chiefs
Chiefs Get: WR Tyreek Hill, 2026 7th Round Pick
Dolphins Get: WR Tyquan Thornton, 2026 3rd Round Pick
Tyreek Hill’s old team is in serious need of some offensive firepower around their star quarterback, so there is speculation that the Chiefs could make an attempt at a reunion. But would Kansas City be willing to take on the salary that they avoided paying the wide receiver a few years back?
The Dolphins bring back some draft capital in the deal, and bring in a 25-year-old wide receiver who has started 13 games in his 3+ year career.
Baltimore Ravens
Ravens Get: WR Tyreek Hill
Dolphins Get: DB Keyon Martin, 2026 4th Round Pick
Could the Ravens go all-in for 2025 and add a player like Tyreek Hill to Lamar Jackson’s stable of weapons? Adding the speedster could alter the dynamic of Baltimore’s offense, and potentially create even more operating room for Jackson in both the passing and rushing attacks.
The Dolphins would take back a fourth round pick in next year’s NFL Draft. They’d also help their future at the cornerback position by bringing in a young player who showed plenty of promise in the preseason.
Atlanta Falcons
Falcons Get: WR Tyreek Hill, 2026 6th Round Pick
Dolphins Get: DB Dee Alford, 2026 3rd Round Pick
The Falcons had 298 total receiving yards in Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season, but only 46% of that total went to wide receivers. If they are looking to upgrade at the position and bump Ray-Ray McCloud out of the starting lineup, then bringing in Tyreek Hill is certainly an option.
In this proposal, Miami would receive a veteran defensive back to help their most pressing need, as well as a 3rd round pick in next year’s draft.
