Two weeks of the NFL season is already complete.
Week three gives us 16 games once again, as no teams are on a bye week.
Five games stick out in week three as must-watch games.
Five Key NFL Games To Watch In Week 3
There are five games in week three, which are very intriguing.
Below are five games to follow in week three.
Los Angeles Rams (2-0) @ Philadelphia Eagles (2-0)
This game features two of the best teams in the NFC. The Rams were the only team in the playoffs last year to give the Eagles a challenge.
This season, both teams are 2-0. LA defeated a tough Texans team in week 1 and then defeated the Titans on the road in week 2. Philly defeated the Cowboys in week 1 and then went to KC and defeated the Chiefs in week 2. Both of the Eagles’ wins were by four or fewer points.
The pass attack for Philly has been nonexistent thus far despite being undefeated through two games. On the flip side, Matthew Stafford has been efficient, despite major question marks entering the season about his back.
Rams-Eagles may just be an NFC Championship game preview, and it is a must-watch game in week three.
Denver Broncos (1-1) @ Los Angeles Chargers (2-0)
This is a massive AFC West divisional contest between the Broncos and Chargers. The Chargers are first in the AFC West after defeating the Chiefs and the Raiders. This gives the Chargers a big advantage after defeating two divisional opponents already. Denver was a penalty away from being 2-0. They were up 28-26, and Spencer Shrader missed a long field goal attempt, but Denver committed a leverage penalty, which gave Denver a 15-yard penalty and allowed Indy to kick again. Shrader made the kick and Denver lost 29-28.
Los Angeles can take a massive command of the AFC West with a win in week three. This would put them at 3-0 against divisional opponents already. Denver risks falling far back from the Chargers with a loss.
This is a big game for both teams and is a must-watch in week three.
Arizona Cardinals (2-0) @ San Francisco 49ers (2-0)
The NFC West has three teams at 2-0 and Seattle at 1-1. This has quietly been the best division in the NFL through the first two weeks of the season. Arizona beat the lowly Saints in week one, followed by defeating the Panthers at home in week 2. San Francisco narrowly defeated the Seahawks in week 1 and then also beat the lowly Saints in week 2.
Brock Purdy is questionable for this massive contest. He returned to practice on Wednesday, which was surprising as it was initially thought he would miss 2-5 weeks.
San Francisco has been on the road in the first two weeks, and this will be their home opener.
While most people will get the Cowboys vs Bears matchup at 4:25 PM EST, this is a must-watch game between two undefeated teams in the NFC West.
Kansas City Chiefs (0-2) @ New York Giants (0-2)
The Kansas City Chiefs and New York Giants are both winless through the first two weeks of the season. While this may not be surprising for the Giants, it is very surprising that the Chiefs are 0-2.
Russell Wilson and the offense struggled mightily in week one but took advantage of a weak Cowboys defense in week 2. It was not enough as the defense could not stop Dak and the offense.
Kansas City continues to struggle on offense. They are missing some key pieces on offense, but the lack of threat on offense remains concerning.
This could end up being a defensive battle. The Chiefs must avoid going 0-3 in a tough AFC. Kansas City is under more pressure to win as the Giants did not have many expectations entering the season.
Despite this contest featuring two winless teams, this is a must-watch game in week three.
Detroit Lions (1-1) @ Baltimore Ravens (1-1)
The Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens are two of the top teams in the league. This is a great Monday night game in week three.
Baltimore could easily be 2-0 and should be undefeated. They collapsed in week one and allowed the Bills to come back and win.
Detroit looked awful on offense in week 1, but bounced back nicely and put up 52 points in a week 2 win against the Chicago Bears.
With both teams 1-1, they both want to avoid being 1-2. Detroit needs to win this game more than Baltimore. The NFC North is a far better division than the AFC North, especially with the injury to Joe Burrow.
This contest has the potential to be a shootout between two of the top offenses in the league.
Lions-Ravens is a must-watch game in week 3.
