Kyle Lowry has been announced as the latest analyst to join the team over at Amazon Prime this upcoming season.
The six-time All-Star is still a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. Prime confirmed that his responsibilities won’t be significant this season relative to the future.
“I’m excited to start the next chapter of my basketball journey with the Prime Sports team,” Lowry said. “The talent they’ve assembled is incredible, and together we’ll deliver something fresh and special for basketball fans worldwide. It’s an honor to be part of this from Day One, and I’m committed to sharing the insights I’ve gained from my career through NBA on Prime for years to come.”
Lowry’s playing time dipped significantly last season to 18.8 minutes per game, the fewest he’s played since his rookie season. He also only played 35 games last season due to injury.
He played just over 28 minutes per game in 2023-24.
“We look forward to Kyle’s contributions to our team both this season as an active player and in the future,” Amina Hussein, Prime Sports Head of On-Air Talent said. “His authentic personality and deep understanding of today’s game will offer viewers unique analysis as we deliver NBA coverage that celebrates the game, and educates fans around the world.”
Draymond Green performed in a similar role for TNT recently.

Lowry’s Last Dance?
All signs are pointing towards this being the final NBA season of Kyle Lowry’s storied career.
He has made mention in the past of his desire to play 20 seasons in the NBA and he will accomplish that feat this season.
In addition to being a six-time All-Star, Lowry has also made one All-NBA team. His biggest moments came in 2019, helping lead the Toronto Raptors a championship.
He will now try to help the Sixers and Joel Embiid in their quest for a title.
