Josh Allen

After battling for the NFL MVP award last season, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson entered the 2025 campaign as the favorites to take home the hardware this year. One has faced tribulations through the first four weeks and now a potential injury, while the other has his team at 4-0 and atop the AFC.

And because of his early success, Allen is now a heavy favorite to be named the regular season MVP.

Josh Allen Listed At +110 In NFL MVP Odds

When the 2025 NFL season began, the Buffalo Bills quarterback held a slight lead on the odds board. Allen was listed at +550 to be given the honors for the second straight year, but Jackson was not far behind. There were high expectations for the Baltimore Ravens to make it over the hump in 2025, and their QB came in with a designation of +600.

After the first month of games, Allen is now down to almost even money. After Buffalo’s win against New Orleans on Sunday, he is listed at +110, which are implied odds of 47.6%.

Conversely, Lamar Jackson is all the way back at +650, and is the closest competitor to Allen on the board overall. His Ravens have stumbled out to a 1-3 start, and he was removed from Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs with an apparent leg injury.

Justin Herbert comes in at +700, and Patrick Mahomes (+1000) and Jalen Hurts (+1300) round out the top five.

There haven’t been huge statistical outputs that have given Josh Allen the edge. While he threw for nearly 400 yards in Week 1, he hasn’t even come close to that total since. In the last three games for Buffalo, Allen is averaging 190 yards passing, including just 148 against the New York Jets. But he is completing over 70% of his passes, and has seven touchdowns compared to just one interception.

He has also rushed for 159 yards and has scored three touchdowns on the ground.

To highlight how quarterback-driven the NFL MVP award is, the 17 players with the shortest odds are all pass throwers. Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is the first non-QB on the odds board, and he is listed at +10000.
