NFL DFS Week 4: Must-Play DraftKings Picks for Monday Night Football

With only two games on the slate tonight, ownership will condense around the obvious studs. To win GPPs you need to balance must-play anchors with contrarian mid-tier values and deep sleepers. Below are six players who stand out based on salary, usage, advanced stats, and matchups.

DFS Must-Plays For Week 4 MNF

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa hands the ball off.

De’Von Achane – RB, Dolphins ($7,000)

Achane has turned into Miami’s engine. He’s logging over 75% of snaps, piling up 147 rushing yards on 4.9 yards per carry and adding 18 receptions for 141 yards with two receiving scores through three games. That’s elite dual-threat usage. He actually leads Miami in targets alongside Tyreek Hill, a rare role for a running back.

Tonight he draws a Jets defense giving up 133 rushing yards per game (26th) and 31 points per game (29th). Miami sits at 0-3, and Mike McDaniel has leaned hard on Achane to stabilize the offense. Expect ~20 touches, heavy red-zone work, and a ceiling performance in a divisional game.

Ja’Marr Chase – WR, Bengals ($8,000)

Even without Joe Burrow, Chase is the focal point. Backup Jake Browning has targeted him 27 times across three games, producing 21 catches, 241 yards, and a score. That’s a 29% target share and an average of 7 receptions and 80 yards per game.

Cincinnati’s run game is dead last in the league, so volume stays funneled to Chase. The Broncos pass defense is middle of the pack, but according to top sportsbooks, Cincinnati will be trailing as 7.5-point underdogs. Chase’s combination of elite usage and game-breaking talent makes him essential on a short slate.

Monday Night Football Week 4 DraftKings Mid-Tier Values ($4,000–$6,000)

J.K. Dobbins – RB, Broncos ($5,800)

Dobbins is dominating Denver’s backfield, handling about 70% of snaps and all goal-line work. He has 222 yards and three touchdowns on just 41 carries (5.4 YPC) across three games. Coaches have suggested even more work is coming after his efficient start.

The Bengals have been average against the run, but their defense wore down last week. Denver is favored, so game flow should allow Dobbins 18+ touches and multiple red-zone looks. He’s a strong bet for 100 yards and a touchdown at sub-6K.

Justin Fields – QB, Jets ($5,500)

Fields is back from a concussion and confirmed to start. His passing volume has been low (122.5 YPG), but he’s rushing for nearly 50 yards per game and has two rushing scores already.

Miami’s defense has been bad, giving up 32.3 points per game and ranking 29th against the run. Fields’ rushing ability and designed red-zone usage make him a strong GPP quarterback. Pairing him with Garrett Wilson adds upside, but he can also score solo on scrambles. At $5.5K, he offers an excellent rushing floor with multi-touchdown potential.

DFS Sleeper Picks MNF Week 4 (Under $4,000)

Marvin Mims Jr. – WR, Broncos ($3,600)

Mims isn’t on the field every down, but when he is, Denver schemes deep shots for him. He’s already connected with Bo Nix for multiple long touchdowns, including a 93-yard score against Cleveland. He averaged nearly 10 yards per target last year, the best mark in the NFL.

With Jerry Jeudy gone, Mims has stepped into a bigger role as Denver’s WR2. Cincinnati’s pass defense has been shaky, and with Sutton drawing coverage, Mims has a chance to break another long one. At $3.6K, he’s a classic GPP dart who can change the slate on a single play.

His questionable tag will lower his ownership if he does go. If he doesn’t get the all clear, look for Pat Bryant and Trent Sherfield to get his share of snaps, while Troy Franklin could also get and uptick in usage.

Darren Waller – TE, Dolphins ($3,500)

Waller is making his Dolphins debut after missing three games with a hip injury. Miami traded for him to be a red-zone weapon, and he’s fully cleared with no injury designation. At his peak, he was a top-10 tight end, and even last year he put up 52 catches in 12 games.

Miami has struggled in the red zone, and Waller offers size and experience to fix that. At $3.5K he’s cheap enough that even 4–5 catches would pay off, and a touchdown would smash value. On a two-game slate, he’s a sneaky contrarian play at TE or FLEX.
