The Monday Night Football single-game slate features the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Jacksonville Jaguars, and large-field GPPs on DraftKings will hinge on identifying the right plays. Below are six players divided into three tiers: must-plays, mid-tier values, and deep sleepers, based on advanced stats, usage rates, and game context.
DraftKings Week 5 MNF Must-Plays

Travis Kelce (KC, TE, $7,600)
Kelce remains the most reliable option in any one-game slate. Through four games, he’s posted 22 targets, good for a 16.1% target share in Kansas City’s offense. He’s caught 16 of those for 182 yards (11.4 yards per catch) and added two plays of 20+ yards. His yards after catch (YAC) sits at 7.5 per reception, still elite for a tight end.
He’s also run routes on nearly every dropback (95% route participation) and handled two red-zone targets, with both resulting in touchdowns. In a game that could push toward 50 total points, Kelce’s combination of consistency and ceiling makes him an automatic FLEX anchor for GPP builds.
Travis Etienne Jr. (JAX, RB, $9,800)
Etienne has quietly been one of the most productive backs in the league. His 394 scrimmage yards rank top five through Week 4, with 65 carries and 10 targets. He’s averaging 5.9 yards per touch and 2.8 yards after contact, highlighting both volume and efficiency.
Jacksonville continues to rely heavily on him inside the 20, Etienne has six red-zone carries and two inside the 10, converting one for a touchdown. For this matchup, Etienne’s dual-threat workload (around 20 touches per game) gives him slate-breaking upside.
DFS GPP Week 5 Picks for Monday Night Football: Mid-Tier Values

Travis Hunter (JAX, WR, $6,600)
Hunter has quickly earned Trevor Lawrence’s trust, ranking second on the team with a 15.2% target share and 13 receptions for 118 yards. He’s generating 5.1 yards after the catch and has two catches of 20+ yards.
His usage has stabilized between 35% and 42% of offensive snaps, giving him consistent opportunities to exploit soft zones.
The Chiefs’ defense often prioritizes deep safety help against vertical threats like Brian Thomas Jr., leaving Hunter to thrive on underneath and intermediate routes. He’s ideal for GPPs because he can stack catches and add bonus yardage through YAC.
Tyquan Thornton (KC, WR, $5,200)
Thornton is the definition of volatility. He leads Kansas City in air yards (468) and sports a massive average depth of target (aDOT) of 23.0 yards. His 10 receptions are averaging 18.2 yards per catch, and he’s already connected on four plays of 30+ yards.
Although he’s only playing about 17% of offensive snaps, that limited role ensures minimal ownership. With Xavier Worthy battling a minor hamstring issue, Thornton could see extra downfield looks. If he catches even one deep ball, he can hit 4–5x his salary. He’s a textbook GPP leverage play: low floor, massive ceiling.
MNF Week 5 DFS Sleepers (Under $2,000)

Tim Patrick (JAX, WR, $1,000)
Patrick has logged only three targets all season (2.2% target share) but has made the most of limited chances with 16 yards after catch on just two receptions — an impressive 8.0 YAC per grab. He’s averaging around 20% of offensive snaps and would likely see an expanded role if any of Jacksonville’s top receivers are limited.
At near-minimum salary, one long catch (20+ yards) or a short touchdown could be enough to vault Patrick into tournament-winning territory. He’s a contrarian pivot for lineups that fade one of the top WRs.
Dyami Brown (JAX, WR, $2,000)
Brown offers pure volatility, and that’s exactly what large-field GPPs need. His average depth of target sits between 16–18 yards, with an air yards per target figure near the top among Jacksonville receivers. Over the past two games, he’s averaged 55% of offensive snaps and has drawn three red-zone targets, including one inside the 10-yard line.
Kansas City’s defense ranks near the bottom third of the league in explosive pass plays allowed, especially against boundary receivers. If Jacksonville pushes pace to keep up with Mahomes, Brown’s vertical skill set gives him an excellent chance at hitting one or two splash plays. Even a 3-75-1 stat line would return over 20 DK points at sub-2k salary. He’s one of the best high-upside FLEX darts on the slate.
Week 5 MNF DFS GPP Build Notes
For GPPs, the ideal construction mixes stability (Kelce, Etienne) with volatility (Thornton, Brown). Both offenses have multiple deep-threat options, and with Mahomes and Lawrence expected to trade scores, late-game fireworks are likely. Target high-aDOT receivers and players with red-zone equity, and don’t fear low-owned darts like Dyami Brown or Tim Patrick, those are the plays that separate first place from the field.
If you are including multiple Jaguars receivers, it is also advisable to include Trevor Lawrence, since if they all hit their ceilings it is likely he will too.
