Bengals vs. Packers Odds and Predictions

The Bengals have had enough of Jake Browning for the time being, so much so that they traded for another quarterback in the AFC North.

The Bengals traded a 2026 fifth-round draft pick to the Cleveland Browns for quarterback Joe Flacco and a 2026 sixth-round draft pick.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor took it one step further by naming Flacco the starter for Sunday’s game against the Packers.

Flacco has not played well this year. The 40-year-old has 815 yards, two touchdowns, and six interceptions with the 31st-ranked QBR (27.6). Flacco went 1-3 as the Browns’ starter, and, ironically, his lone win came against the Packers.

Flacco will try to provide a spark to a Joe Burrow-less Bengals offense ranked last in rushing yards (57.0 per game) and total yards (228.6 per game).

The Bengals’ defense isn’t much better — 29th against the pass (259.0 yards per game) and 30th in total yards (391.2 per game) and scoring defense (31.2 points per game).

The last time Green Bay played, the Packers tied against the Cowboys in an offensive shootout.

Green Bay is the better team right now. They’re healthier and more explosive. Flacco might be a fearless passer, but the Bengals’ offensive line has the worst pass block win rate (48%) in the NFL.

Last season, the Packers were a 14.5-point home favorite over the New Orleans Saints and won 34-0. It might not be a shutout, but I’ll take the Packers to cover.

Pick: Packers -14 (-115)

Bengals vs. Packers Prop

Coming into the season, Bengals running back Chase Brown was pegged to have a breakout season. That dream died when Burrow suffered his injury.

The Bengals cannot run the ball whatsoever. Brown has 160 yards on 65 carries. That’s historically bad.

However, Flacco is an immobile quarterback behind a bad offensive line. Cincinnati must help its veteran quarterback out and try to run the ball, even if it fails. I’ll take Brown to 13+ rushing attempts.

Pick: Chase Brown Over 12.5 Rushing Attempts (-130)
