Netflix Six Kings Slam Kicks Off On 10/15, Will You Be Watching?

The 2025 Netflix Six Kings Slam is hours away from first ball. Will tennis fans watch the second edition?

Jannik Sinner is the defending champion. He will attempt to go back-to-back and earn the massive $6 million prize money for the winner.

The other five kings are: Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz, and Stefanos Tsitsipas (a late addition taking the injured Jack Draper‘s spot).

Do Tennis Fans Care About The Six Kings Slam?

In a tennis season that feels too long and with the ATP Finals beginning on November 9, I wonder if fans are tuning in. Players themselves say there is too much tennis. However, they are signed up for exhibitions like this with critical events like the ATP Finals looming. The timing right after the ATP 1000 Rolex Shanghai Masters also makes me wonder how enthusiastic fans are.

Let’s review how everyone fared in Shanghai with 1000 ratings points on the line.

Alcaraz withdrew with an ankle injury sustained in his Japan Open title victory. He is sporting a wrapped ankle in the press and practice sessions leading up to play.

Jannik Sinner had cramps and retired from his Shanghai match, and Djokovic had illness and injury issues in the brutal Shanghai conditions also.

Fritz, Zverev, and Tsitsipas lost early and were not factors in the latter rounds of the event that crowned alternate qualifier Valentin Vacherot the champion.

There are no ranking points at stake, and Alcaraz, Sinner, Zverev, Djokovic, and Fritz presumably needing to preserve themselves for the ATP Finals.

Order Of Play For The Six Kings Slam

Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic have a bye on October 15. The winner of the Fritz vs. Zverev match faces Alcaraz and the Tsitsipas vs. Sinner winner gets Djokovic on Day 2 (10/16).

10/17 is an off day and the finals are played on Saturday, 10/18.
