Joe Burrow’s Sideline Appearance On TNF Draws ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Conrad Fisher Comparisons

NFL and Cincinnati Bengals fans finally saw Joe Burrow for the first time since he was injured in Week 2. Burrow was on the sidelines wearing all black with a walking boot on his surgically repaired turf toe.

The Bengals other Joe, Flacco, led the team in an inspired win over divisional opponent Pittsburgh. Much has been said about Flacco’s performance on Thursday night and how he has made a career of tormenting the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Perhaps because the game was airing on Amazon Prime, the same streaming outlet of the hit show “The Summer I Turned Pretty” which just wrapped up last month, there were immediate comparisons between Burrow and one of the main characters, Conrad Fisher, played by Christopher Briney.

Fans had plenty to say about Burrow’s look and demeanor and how it compared to Conrad Fisher.

Joe Burrow Was Conrad Fisher’s Doppelganger Thursday Night

Conrad Fisher, before he got his girl Belly was known for being moody and irritable. He was also known for having his hair hanging in his face.

Burrow accomplished both Conrad Fisher character traits on the sidelines.

Conrad Fisher got his happy ending in the series, and hopefully Joe Burrow gets one too yet this season with the Bengals.

He is a player at heart so sitting on the sidelines dealing with yet another injury must be soul wrenching.

The Bengals are playing in a weak AFC North division this year, and if Flacco can keep them afloat until Burrow can return, maybe Joe Burrow will have a reason to smile (and possibly get a haircut) in December.
