Alvin Kamara prepares to run the ball.

With the Nov. 4 trade deadline approaching, the New Orleans Saints could be a team looking to sell and move several players for draft assets.

Alvin Kamara

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara does not want to be traded.

“I don’t want to go anywhere,” Kamara said on Oct. 16 via Nick Underhill. “And I said it countless times, y’all know that. I think everybody knows that. The fan base knows that. And at the end of the day, it’s business. So I don’t go upstairs, and I don’t have an office upstairs. I got an office in Charlotte at NASCAR, but I don’t got an office upstairs, so I don’t really sit in those meetings, and I don’t really know what happens up there.”

Kamara signed a two-year, $24.5 million contract extension with the Saints in October 2024. He’s made it clear he wants to finish his career in New Orleans.

Running back Kendre Miller is out for the season with an ACL injury, making a Kamara trade less likely.

However, Kamara would garner some draft assets for a team needing a running back.

The Kansas City Chiefs immediately come to mind as a team that would love to have Kamara. Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt currently split time in the backfield. Adding Kamara would add another threat to this improved Kansas City offense.

Demario Davis

At 36, linebacker Demario Davis is still playing at a high level and ranks eighth in the NFL with 61 tackles.

Davis is in the final year of a two-year, $17.25 million deal signed in March 2024.

While the Saints may not want to remove a veteran from a young team, Davis could help out teams in need of linebacker help.

The San Francisco 49ers would be a perfect fit for Davis. The 49ers lost All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner for the season. Davis could step right in and thrive in Robert Saleh’s defense.

Rashid Shaheed

One of the Saints’ wide receivers could be on the move.

Chris Olave has been in trade rumors all season. However, the Saints are reportedly working on signing Olave to a long-term extension.

If Olave stays, the Saints could look to move Shaheed, who will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

Shaheed has 30 receptions for 356 yards and two touchdowns in seven games.

With the Saints likely losing Shaheed to free agency, it could be in their best interest to trade him and acquire a Day 3 pick.
