William Byron

As a two-time Daytona 500 winner who’s becoming a perennial championship contender, William Byron understandably is having little trouble attracting sponsors these days.

The latest to make a commitment to Byron and his Hendrick Motorsports team?

Anduril Industries, a leading defense technology company that’s agreed to serve as a primary sponsor on the No. 24 Chevrolet beginning in 2026.

What’s The Plan For William Byron’s Newest Sponsor?

As part of its deal with Hendrick Motorsports and the No. 24 team, Anduril Industries will be the primary sponsor on the car of William Byron in two races over each of the next three seasons. So, from 2026-2028, Byron will carry the Anduril Industries colors in a total of six NASCAR Cup Series events.

Neither the team nor the sponsor disclosed the financial terms of the agreement.

Anduril will make its debut as a primary sponsor at the new San Diego Street Course, which will host the Cup Series for the first time on June 21, 2026. This being Anduril’s first race as primary sponsor for Byron didn’t happen by accident, of course. In fact, it couldn’t be any more appropriate.

That’s in part because the San Diego Street Course will sit on the well-known Naval Base Coronado. Also, Anduril is the title sponsor of the race — which has been formally dubbed The Anduril 250 to honor the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Navy.

Anduril’s second race of 2026 as the primary backer on Byron’s car will be July 5 at Chicagoland Speedway. Appropriately, that’s Independence Day weekend.

In addition to its role with Byron next season, Anduril will be the Official Defense Partner of NASCAR.

Hendrick Motorsports has yet to announce Byron’s full sponsor lineup for 2026. Primary sponsors on the No. 24 Chevy this season have included Axalta, Valvoline and Liberty University.

All Parties Are Ecstatic About Anduril And William Byron Pairing Up

Anduril boasts a vast portfolio of military equipment and tools. This portfolio includes autonomous aircraft and underwater vehicles, AI-powered sensor platforms and electronic-warfare systems used by the U.S. Department of Defense and allied militaries.

Anduril and Hendrick Motorsports — a winner of a record 14 Cup Series championships — will collaborate on programs recognizing and supporting warfighters and their families, past and present.

“Hendrick Motorsports sets the standard in NASCAR. For Anduril, this partnership is about showcasing technology and performance at the highest level,” Jeff Miller, Anduril’s VP of marketing, said in a media release. “We’re also aligned in our commitment to advocate for the military community. That mission will be the North Star for how we partner together.”

NASCAR Hall of Famer and Hendrick Motorsports owner Rick Hendrick has nothing but praise for his organization’s incoming sponsor.

“Anduril is transforming its industry with the same kind of passion for winning that we bring to racing,” Hendrick said in a media release. “We’re proud to represent a company that pushes the boundaries of advanced technology to support our military and engages in programs to honor service members and their families. William and the No. 24 team will be tremendous ambassadors for Anduril and its message.”

Byron certainly plans to be just that.

“What stands out to me is Anduril’s commitment to innovation and its discipline to being ready for any challenge,” the 15-time Cup Series race winner said. “That’s the same approach our team takes every week. So, it’s special to represent a company that shares those principles.

“The fact that this program gives back to those who serve is something we’re proud to support. And it makes the partnership especially meaningful. We’re looking forward to having Anduril on board.”
