The Buffalo Bills have been rumored to be interested in an upgrade at the wide receiver position. It is becoming increasingly clear that quarterback Josh Allen lacks a true no. 1 option in his offense, and the team could be looking to add an upgrade ahead of the upcoming trade deadline.
One of the current pieces of their offensive attack took to social media on Wednesday, as Keon Coleman posted a cryptic tweet that had fans in Buffalo wondering if a move was on the horizon.
What Is Happening With The Bills & Keon Coleman?
Coleman has been something of a disappointment early on in his career in Buffalo. He was selected with the first pick of the second round in 2024, and was expected to blossom into a key target for Allen and company. He had the makings of being a WR1 for the team, which would be needed after the departure of Stefon Diggs.

The expectations have gone unmet thus far. In his first season, Coleman showed some flashes of big-play ability, but finished the year with just 29 catches for 556 yards and 4 touchdowns. So far in 2025, his numbers are down even further. He has seen his 42.8 yards per game average drop to 38.1, and the Bills are no closer to having a top-flight pass catcher than they were on Draft Night 2024.
With rumors swirling ahead of the deadline, both Keon Coleman and his agent took to social media to post vague messages.
Cryptic Social Media Messages Leave Fans Curious
First, Coleman made a post to his Twitter/X account that didnât feature any real text, but instead four âcrying with laughterâ emojis. Just two minutes later, his agent Paul DeRousselle retweeted Colemanâs original post, and added an emoji of his own. The message was simply a picture of a clock, adding to the mystery behind the entire situation.

The comments underneath both posts were varying. Given the timing ahead of the trade deadline, some fans wondered if a deal involving Coleman or other wide receivers was looming. Some simply showed fandom and support, while others frustratingly criticized his on-field performance.
It is unclear whether the Bills will choose to pull the trigger on any trades in the coming days. But if they want to make any adjustments to their current roster before they make their push for the playoffs, theyâll have to do so soon, as the trade deadline is coming up on November 4th.
