The Green Bay Packers suffered a tough blow on Sunday afternoon. Breakout tight end Tucker Kraft suffered a knee injury and is feared to have torn his ACL, which would effectively end his 2025 season after just 8 games.
Kraft is not only the team’s top tight end, but he is Green Bay’s leading receiver by a long shot. His absence would negatively affect quarterback Jordan Love and the team’s offensive attack, and they are now halfway through a season that has shown plenty of promise.
Packers Could Trade For Tight End In Wake Of Injury To Tucker Kraft
Perhaps luckily, the NFL trade deadline is just a couple of days away. If the Packers want to attempt to replace Kraft’s production for the remainder of 2025, they could check on which tight ends around the league might be made available.
Here are three possible options for Green Bay to explore:

Mark Andrews – Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens aren’t giving up on their season, which looked lost just a couple of weeks ago. But they may still be fielding calls for veteran tight end Mark Andrews, who is the team’s all-time leading touchdown scorer.
He has spent the entirety of his career with the Ravens, and has been a safety blanket for quarterback Lamar Jackson ever since. The team has depth at the position, which is something that could make Andrews expendable, and his contract is set to expire at the end of the season. Instead of letting him walk in free agency, perhaps Baltimore could get a mid-round pick in return for him ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.

David Njoku – Cleveland Browns
It seems as though David Njoku is consistently a part of trade rumors. Could this finally be the year that the Browns pull the trigger on their long-time tight end?
Like Andrews, Njoku is in the final year of his contract, and there is a chance that he doesn’t return to Cleveland once he hits free agency. However, there have been reports in recent days that the team is not looking to move the nine-year veteran ahead of the deadline. But there is a chance that he could be had for the right price, and Green Bay should be one of the first ones in line.
Kyle Pitts – Atlanta Falcons
Trade rumors have surrounded Kyle Pitts for the past few seasons, and with the Falcons sitting at 3-5 while still aiming to compete in 2025, they might prefer to keep their offense together. However, with Pitts’ contract set to expire at the end of the year, Atlanta could look to move him for some value before then.
A highly regarded prospect coming out of college, Pitts was selected fourth overall by Atlanta in the 2021 draft. Outside of his standout rookie season, where he topped 1,000 yards and earned a Pro Bowl nod, he’s largely underperformed expectations, recording only 11 touchdowns over more than four seasons in the league.
