The Tennessee Titans will be on the search for a new head coach this coming offseason after they fired Brian Callahan this year. Whoever is selected for the job will be working with Cam Ward to attempt to unlock the young QB’s potential, and it is likely that the team focuses on offensive-minded candidates while conducting their search.
Who Will Be The Next Head Coach Of The Titans?
The oddsmakers at BetOnline believe that is the route they’ll take, too. We take a look at some of the favorites on the board to be the next leader in Tennessee:

Matt Nagy (+300)
Matt Nagy is considered by many to be the front-runner to land the Titans job this coming offseason. He has head coaching experience stemming from his four years with the Chicago Bears, and he even won NFL Head Coach of the Year in 2018 after leading his team to a 12-4 record. He has spent each of the last four seasons on Andy Reid’s staff in Kansas City, and has been the team’s offensive coordinator since the start of 2023.
Nagy has some familiarity with Tennessee’s leaders. General manager Mike Borgonzi worked with Nagy during his time with the Chiefs, as he was the team’s assistant general manager before taking the lead job with the Titans.
The oddsmakers have Nagy listed at +300 to be Tennessee’s next head coach, which are implied odds of 25%.
Joe Brady (+400)
If the Titans want to follow the trend of young NFL head coaching hirings, Joe Brady would be an interesting addition. He has a strong offensive pedigree at just 36 years old, and could help elevate Cam Ward in the same way that he elevated Joe Burrow during his time at LSU. His connection to dynamic, modern offensive systems could give Tennessee a creative, forward-looking approach on offense.
But there is a big question mark when it comes to experience. Brady lasted two years as the Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator, and has only been in the position full time with the Buffalo Bills for 33 games over the last two years. There is uncertainty that looms about whether he is ready to assume the full operations of an NFL team, and his resume and track record doesn’t do him a lot of favors in that sense.
Mike Kafka (+450)
Mike Kafka has been a head coaching candidate for multiple years now. His name came to prominence when he worked as Patrick Mahomes’ quarterback coach in Kansas City, and was the Chiefs’ passing game coordinator for two years. He joined Brian Daboll’s staff in New York in 2022, where he’s worked as the team’s offensive coordinator ever since. Currently, he is the interim head coach of the Giants after Daboll’s firing.
Over the years, Kafka has interviewed for at least eight different lead jobs around the NFL. During the most recent hiring cycle, he was considered for the head coaching positions for the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints, but both teams ultimately went in different directions. He interviewed with the Titans back in January 2024.
