Texas A&M defeated South Carolina 31-30 on Saturday afternoon, but the score, their 10-0 record, and the game were overshadowed by a bizarre off-the-field incident that went viral.
South Carolina’s Nyckoles Harbor was coming out of the tunnel with his teammates when he and a policeman ran into each other.
Well, this was an interesting interaction between Nyck Harbor and some law enforcement guy in the tunnel pic.twitter.com/14ehdDvIEa

Fans were a bit confused why the cop appeared to run into Harbor and then became angry after the fact. These same fans tried to slow down the video to see what precipitated the run in and could not come up with a definitive answer.
When you slow it down, it sure looks like #27 tries to move out of the way and the cop throws his left arm into him to initiate contact. https://t.co/xWnH0WtGO1 pic.twitter.com/5DKu2Eye9Q

Fans believe the policeman showed bad temperament and wonder what would have happened if there was no camera on the incident or how he may behave at a traffic stop, etc. Others believe the incident is being blown out of proportion.
There are two sides to every story. It appears Texas DPS is trying to understand what happened, fully aware that it was bad optics on live television.
What Texas DPS Said About Nyckoles Habor Incident
Texas DPS tweeted: “The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is aware of the incident that occurred today during the Texas A&M football game. The DPS Trooper involved was sent home from the game. Our Office of Inspector General (OIG) is also aware of the incident and will be further looking into the matter. No additional information will be released at this time.”
We will be curious to see if anything beyond this statement is shared on social media in the coming days.
