Jonathan Taylor runs the ball.

The NFL Offensive Player of the Year award appears to be a one-horse race, with Jonathan Taylor having the best odds heading into Week 12.

Jonathan Taylor is Having a Historic Season

Taylor (-300) is the heavy favorite on Polymarket for good reason.

The Colts’ running back leads the league in rushing yards (1,139), rushing touchdowns (15), and total touchdowns (17).

When Taylor last played, he rushed for 244 yards on 32 carries and scored three touchdowns in a 31-25 overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons. Taylor has five games with three total touchdowns, with four of them featuring three rushing touchdowns.

In 2021, Taylor won the NFL’s rushing triple crown, ranking first in carries (332), rushing yards (1,811), and rushing touchdowns (18). Taylor has a chance to do it again, since he leads the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns and ranks second (189) in carries.

Taylor is a big reason why the Colts are 8-2 and tied for the best record in the AFC. Plus, Taylor has a strong argument that he should win the MVP. A running back has not won MVP since Adrian Peterson in 2012.

Odds via Polymarket as of Nov. 20

Taylor might be a massive favorite, but there are still some players with legitimate cases to win.

Polymarket does not list this player, but Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is making a strong argument to be the best receiver in the league in 2025. Smith-Njigba leads the league in receiving yards (1,146) on 72 receptions and five touchdowns.

Speaking of NFC West receivers, Puka Nacua (+900) is having another productive season. The Rams wide receiver has 73 receptions for 850 yards and four touchdowns.

At the running back position, San Francisco’s Christian McCaffrey (+1329) is back to his old ways after an injury-riddled 2024 season. McCaffrey is the most complete back in the NFL, with 707 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.

CMC also has 74 receptions, 732 yards, and five touchdowns. At this rate, McCaffrey is going to have a 1,000-yard season as a runner and receiver.
