Utah Mammoth center Logan Cooley of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania made Mammoth history on Monday as he scored four goals in a single game. That is the most number of goals a player has had in a game this season, and the most number of goals a player has ever scored in a game in the history of the Mammoth franchise. Cooley accomplished the feat in a 5-1 Mammoth win over the Vegas Golden Knights at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Please note that the historical statistics of the Mammoth organization did not carry over from when the franchise was based in Arizona, and Winnipeg before that. The record for the most goals in a game by a player on the original Winnipeg Jets/Arizona Coyotes belongs to Willie Lindstrom of Grums, Sweden, and Alexei Zhamnov of Moscow, Russia. Lindstorm scored five times in a 7-6 Jets win over the Philadelphia Flyers on March 2, 1982, and Zhamnov scored five times in a 7-7 Jets tie with the Los Angeles Kings on April 1, 1995.

Then Cooley’s last two goals were into an empty net. He put the Mammoth up 4-1 with four minutes and 19 seconds left in the third period from defenseman Ian Cole of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and then closed the scoring with two minutes and 17 seconds left in the game with a shorthanded, unassisted marker.
Cooley’s third career hat trick
Cooley first scored three goals in a game on March 28, 2024 in an 8-4 Coyotes win over the Nashville Predators. He then scored thrice in a 7-4 Mammoth win over the St. Louis Blues on October 23, 2025.
