Michael Strahan and Danny Kanell mix words on Giants’ Jaxson Dart evaluation

Heading into Week 13, will the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers have their starting quarterbacks return to action?

Jaxson Dart, Aaron Rodgers, and C.J. Stroud Returning in Week 13

The Giants get their first-round draft pick back in Week 13.

Quarterback Jaxson Dart will play Monday night against the New England Patriots. Dart missed the last two weeks with a concussion.

Jameis Winston started in Dart’s place the last two weeks. Winston had leads against the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, finishing a combined 37 of 65 for 567 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Despite Winston’s solid play, the Giants lost both games.

Despite the poor record, Dart has looked the part of a franchise quarterback. Dart has thrown for 1,417 yards, 10 touchdowns, and three interceptions. Dart also has 317 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.

Dart will have to be more cautious as a runner to avoid concussions and stay on the field longer.

Either the Giants or Patriots will extend a streak. The Giants have lost six straight games, while the Patriots have won nine consecutive contests.

In Pittsburgh, Aaron Rodgers returns to action this weekend after missing Week 12 with a fracture in his wrist.

“He was a full participant today with no designation for the game,” Tomlin said about Rodgers via Steelers.com. “So, it’s all systems go.”

Mason Rudolph started in place of Rodgers in Week 12. Rudolph finished 24 of 31 for 171 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Steelers’ 31-28 loss to the Chicago Bears.

The Steelers get Rodgers back at a key moment in their season. The Steelers are 6-5, while the Ravens are 6-6. The Steelers could take a lead in the division with a win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 13.

Finally, Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud has cleared concussion protocol and will start Sunday’s pivotal game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Stroud has missed the last three games after suffering a concussion in Week 9. Backup Davis Mills kept the Texans’ playoff hopes alive by going 3-0 in Stroud’s absence.

The Colts remain in first place in the AFC South with an 8-3 record. Thanks to Mills’ play, the Texans are 6-5 and within striking distance of the Colts.

J.J. McCarthy Out for the Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings will have a new quarterback under center in Week 13.

Undrafted rookie Max Brosmer will start in place of the injured J.J. McCarthy when the Vikings travel to play the Seattle Seahawks. It will be Brosmer’s first career start.

McCarthy remains in concussion protocol. McCarthy had his worst game as a pro in Week 12, finishing 12 of 19 for 87 yards and two interceptions in the 23-6 loss to the Packers.

At 4-7, the Vikings are running out of time to turn around their season.
