According to a recent Instagram post, Ryan Blaney and his wife, Gianna, became first-time parents on November 17 as their son, Charley, entered the world.
The post, which featured a photo of the newborn looking perfectly cute and cuddly in a bassinet, drew an instant reaction from various well-known people throughout the NASCAR community.
A-list NASCAR types who took to Instagram to congratulate the Blaneys on their new addition included Jimmie Johnson, Haley Dillon (Ty’s wife), Jordan Fish (Denny Hamlin’s fiancee) and Marissa Briscoe (Chase’s wife).
Although clearly thrilled about becoming a dad, Blaney has posted a couple of things on social media in the last couple of weeks that suggest he’s a tad overwhelmed — as most all new parents tend to be for a little while.
Hey, at least the driver of the No. 12 Team Penske Ford is keeping a sense of humor about his introduction to parenthood.
Ryan Blaney Paints Quite The Vivid Picture Of His First 2 Weeks As A Dad
Newborns, of course, are best-known for loud cries, frequent feedings and dirty diapers. Not surprisingly, little Charley Blaney seems to be no different. At least on the dirty-diaper front.
Here’s what Ryan Blaney posted on social media platform X a little less than a week after his son’s birth.
Although the imagery here is pretty telling, you can draw your own conclusions.
We’ve moved on from the tar 💩 phase to the mustard 💩 phase. I gotta tell ya, I prefer mustard.

A little more than a week after his initial post, the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series champion followed up on X with another gem. Apparently, the diaper changes are becoming even more frequent and time-consuming.
Thinking I’m in the clear for a bit after finishing up my 3rd blownout diaper change in 20 minutes.

Again, at least Blaney is making jokes about his newfound responsibilities on the home front. Even if he’s clearly still feeling somewhat overwhelmed by it all.
Ryan Blaney Isn’t The Only NASCAR Driver With A Newborn To Care For
They say there’s strength in numbers, right? Well, if that’s true, Ryan Blaney can take heart. He’s not alone in the New Dad Department.
Turns out that part-time Cup Series/full-time Xfinity Series driver Anthony Alfredo announced on November 30 that he has a new baby girl at home. Indeed, his wife, Emily, gave birth five days earlier.
Everleigh Grace Alfredo is the couple’s first child.

While Alfredo doesn’t seem quite as stressed as Blaney just a few days into the parenting journey, it’s a pretty safe bet that neither NASCAR driver is going to be getting much sleep over the next few weeks.
Good thing for them it’s the off-season.
