Recently, ESPN’s Jamal Collier published a story on the Bulls’ future. He mentioned how Chicago is “trying to follow” the Pacers’ path to success. Indiana had a talented PG in Tyrese Haliburton. To improve the roster, the team traded for Pascal Siakam. That led to success for the Pacers. Chicago believes they have an all-star-caliber PG in Josh Giddey. Jamal Collier said the Bulls are searching for their “Pascal Siakam” to pair with Giddey moving forward.

Ahead of the 2024-25 season, the Bulls and Thunder made a player-for-player swap. Chicago sent Alex Caruso to the Thunder. In return, the Bulls received Josh Giddey from OKC. His production regressed with the Thunder, and the team was ready to move on. Early in his first season with the Bulls, Josh Giddey struggled. However, he found his footing with the team and quickly became their best player.
This offseason, the Bulls signed Giddey to a four-year, $100 million deal. He is locked in to be their PG of the future. Through 17 games in 2025-26, Giddey is averaging 20.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 9.3 assists per game. The 23-year-old is in line to become a first-time all-star this year. With the production they’re getting from Josh Giddey, the Bulls are reportedly interested in taking the next step.

The Bulls are starting to wonder when they should pull the trigger and go all in. Coby White’s 24.2 points per game lead the Bulls this season. However, he is in the final season of his deal with Chicago. The Bulls need another player on the roster who can be their long-term and average 20+ points per game.
