Heading into Week 15, here is the playoff picture for the 2025 NFL season. The Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys are two teams with their postseason hopes on life support.
AFC Standings: Week 15
| AFC Standings: Playoff Teams | Record |
|---|---|
| Denver Broncos (AFC West) | 11-2 |
| New England Patriots (AFC East) | 11-2 |
| Jacksonville Jaguars (AFC South) | 9-4 |
| Pittsburgh Steelers (AFC North) | 7-6 |
| Los Angeles Chargers (WC 1) | 9-4 |
| Buffalo Bills (WC 2) | 9-4 |
| Houston Texans (WC 3) | 8-5 |
The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots are tied for the best record in the league at 11-2. The Patriots’ schedule is significantly easier than the Broncos’ the rest of the way. However, both teams will be challenged this week, with the Broncos hosting the Packers and the Patriots playing the Bills.
The AFC South now runs through Duval, as the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Indianapolis Colts to move into first place. Throw in Daniel Jones’ injury, and the Colts might be fading fast. Meanwhile, the Jaguars are hitting their stride and should win again this weekend against the Jets.
In the AFC North, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Baltimore Ravens in their first of two matchups this season. Something tells me their Week 18 rematch will be for the division.
The Los Angeles Chargers, Buffalo Bills, and surging Houston Texans occupy the three wild-card spots.

| NFC Standings: Playoff Teams | Record |
|---|---|
| Los Angeles Rams (NFC West) | 10-3 |
| Green Bay Packers (NFC North) | 9-3-1 |
| Philadelphia Eagles (NFC East) | 8-5 |

| Seattle Seahawks (WC 1) | 10-3 |
| San Francisco 49ers (WC 2) | 9-4 |
| Chicago Bears (WC 3) | 9-4 |
The Chicago Bears sat on top of the NFC for one week, and that’s it. The Bears dropped a crucial division game to the Green Bay Packers. For now, the Packers are in first place in the NFC North, but these two teams will meet again in Week 16.
The Los Angeles Rams bounced back with a dominant win over the Arizona Cardinals to move back into first place in the NFC.
The Philadelphia Eagles continue to go backwards, losing a tough Monday night game to the Chargers. The Eagles hold a slight lead over the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East, but another loss could jeopardize their postseason chances.
Speaking of fading, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost a pivotal game to the New Orleans Saints. One more loss by the Bucs and one more win by the Panthers, and Carolina will have the lead in the NFC South.
The Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, and Bears own the three wild-card spots.
