Heading into Week 15, the Giants are currently projected to pick first in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Giants, Las Vegas Raiders, and Tennessee Titans are all 2-11. However, the Giants have the strength of schedule tiebreaker, putting them at No. 1, the Raiders at No. 2, and the Titans at No. 3.
After hiring Brian Daboll, the Giants will have one of the most sought-after head coaching jobs this offseason. The Giants have a potential franchise quarterback in Jaxson Dart, an improved offensive line, and a stellar defensive line.
The Giants have a chance to turn things around quickly if they can hire the right head coach. The 2025 New England Patriots and Chicago Bears are two examples of what can happen when you hire the right coaches.
If the Giants get the No. 1 pick, then they will likely explore trade options with teams that need quarterbacks. The Giants don’t need one player; they need several at key positions, including offensive line, secondary, and linebacker.
Trading back could give the Giants ammo to select multiple impact players.
Unlike the Giants, the Raiders should be in the market for a quarterback with the No. 2 pick. Pete Carroll will likely be back, but the team could move on from quarterback Geno Smith in the offseason.
The Giants and the Raiders face off on Dec. 28 in a game that could decide the No. 1 pick of the draft.
By defeating the Browns this past Sunday, the Titans moved to No. 3. Like the Giants, the Titans don’t need to draft a quarterback. Tennessee will likely also look to trade back in this year’s draft to accumulate more picks.
