Sean McVay addressed injury concerns for Davante Adams, Rob Havenstein, and Tyler Higbee as the Rams manage several key health questions.
The Los Angeles Rams received a mix of encouraging and concerning medical news this week as head coach Sean McVay updated reporters on the status of several stars, including Davante Adams, Rob Havenstein, and Tyler Higbee, heading into a crucial NFC West showdown with the Seattle Seahawks.

The Rams, pushing to stay alive in the playoff race, must now manage a mounting injury list while preparing for a Seattle team fighting to keep its own postseason hopes alive.
Davante Adams Injury Update: Rams Expect Him to Be Available
McVay addressed concerns about Davante Adams, who briefly left Sunday’s game after taking a hard hit. The team evaluated him for a potential shoulder issue, but McVay told reporters that Adams avoided serious injury and is expected to be ready for Seattle.
Adams’ availability is significant for L.A.’s offense, especially given his immediate chemistry with Matthew Stafford and his increasing role within the Rams’ passing game.
Davante Adams has a hamstring injury and will not practice during today’s walkthrough.
They’re not ruling him or anyone else out yet for Thursday in Seattle.
“He’s as tough as it gets,” Sean McVay said. “I want to see what it looks like with the time we have.”

Since joining the team midseason, Adams has become a stabilizing force in the wide receiver room, drawing top coverage and opening space for younger pass catchers.
“Davante is trending in a positive direction,” McVay said. “We feel good about him for this week.”
Rob Havenstein Trending Toward a Return After This Week
The Rams received another piece of encouraging news at right tackle, but it still might not be enough to have him ready for Thursday night. Rob Havenstein, who missed time with a lingering hip injury, appears on track to return, but it won’t be during this short week.
McVay noted that Havenstein will be monitored throughout the practice week, but all signs point toward him being unavailable until Week 16.
Sean McVay says that Rams TE Tyler Higbee and Rob Havenstein won’t be back up for this week’s game, citing how little practice time there is to on-board. Said they’ll check back in on the vets next week.

Havenstein’s return will be a major boost for an offensive line that has struggled with consistency and cohesion this season, but it will have to wait another week.
Tyler Higbee Still Uncertain After Knee Setback
While Adams and Havenstein are trending upward, the status of tight end Tyler Higbee remains unclear. Higbee missed Week 14 with a knee injury and has yet to be cleared for return.
Although TE Tyler Higbee and OL Rob Havenstein are now eligible to return from IR, it won’t happen this week given the short week according to Sean McVay

The Rams have leaned on rookie Davis Allen in Higbee’s absence, and although Allen has flashed in limited opportunities, Higbee’s ability as a pass-catcher and blocker remains integral to L.A.’s offensive structure, particularly on third down and in the red zone.
McVay called Higbee “day-to-day”, adding that the team will take a conservative approach to ensure he does not aggravate the injury.
What It Means for the Rams vs. Seahawks
The Rams and Seahawks typically play tight, physical matchups, and the health of these three players could meaningfully shape the game plan:
-
If Adams plays, Seattle’s secondary must account for him on every snap.
-
If Higbee is limited, the Rams may pivot toward more 11-personnel looks with increased receiver usage.
With both teams jostling for playoff positioning, even small injury shifts could swing momentum in what projects to be one of Week 15’s pivotal NFC games.
