Watch: Jaylen Brown Says Steph Curry Is ‘Not Beating Me’ 1-on-1

In today’s NBA, fans have more access than ever to players’ lives off the court. Several stars around the league have started to stream in recent years.

Boston’s Jaylen Brown is one of them. He often goes live on Twitch. Recently, a clip has surfaced of Brown talking with rapper DDG. Brown said that Steph Curry is “too small” to guard him. On top of that, Jaylen Brown told DDG that Curry is “not beating me” in 1-on-1. Strong comments from Jaylen Browns who’s playing the best basketball of his career in 2025-26.

Jaylen Brown is confident he could beat Steph Curry 1-on-1

As a competitor, that was the right answer from Jaylen Brown. He’s a multi-time all-star and NBA champion. It’s easy to see why Brown comes off so confident, even cocky at times. However, that’s the type of mentality it takes to make it in the NBA. Without Jayson Tatum in 2025-26, Jaylen Brown is averaging a career-high 29.3 points and 4.9 assists per game.

Recently, Jaylen Brown was on a Twitch livestream with rapper DDG. Boston’s SF said Steph Curry is “not beating me” in 1-on-1. When Brown said that, DDG immediately smiled. The Jaylen Browns asked, “You think there’s going to be a clip or something?” That’s exactly what happened. Jaylen Brown believes that most people would agree with his take.

However, the person sitting next to him in that clip had a different take. Rapper DDG wouldn’t admit that Brown could beat Curry 1-on-1. However, he did say that Jaylen Brown could beat Michael Jordan. That may be an even hotter take than Brow has. However, it’s only a hypothetical.

Steph Curry and Jaylen Brown have had several battles over the years. In 2017, there was a clip where Brown called Curry “too small.” Golden State’s PG then responded with a hot shooting night. Additionally, Curry got revenge in the 2022 NBA Finals, where his Warriors defeated Brown and the Celtics. That same day, when he said he could beat Curry, Jaylen Brown called him the greatest PG of all time. While Brown has respect for Curry as a player, he still believes he could beat him 1-on-1.
