The future of Joe Burrow will be one of the hot topics during the upcoming NFL offseason. After a disappointing 2025 campaign in Cincinnati, marred by a current 6–10 record and early playoff elimination, whispers of a potential split between the Bengals and their star quarterback have only grown louder.
Where Will Joe Burrow Play Football In 2026?
Burrow’s recent comments about not “having fun” and his team’s ongoing struggles have fueled trade chatter. The possibility of the franchise quarterback leaving Cincinnati is becoming increasingly realistic, so much so that sportsbooks have released betting lines highlighting which team he might play for next.
Here are the favorites to land Joe Burrow based on the odds provided by BetOnline:

New York Giants (+300)
The Giants are an interesting way to start off the list. They would typically be one of the teams that makes the most sense, given their desperate need for a franchise-altering player and their location in the biggest market in the country. Early in the 2025 season, it appeared that Jaxson Dart could be the QB of the future for New York. But some struggles in the second half of the schedule coupled with injury concerns for the rookie could mean the Giants are still undecided on Dart as their long-term answer.
Pending the results of their Week 18 game, New York should have a top-5 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, which could certainly be used as trade fodder that Cincinnati could be interested in.

Miami Dolphins (+400)
Last week, reports were released saying that the Dolphins tried to trade the house in order to draft Joe Burrow in 2020. They were unsuccessful in their attempt and ended up selecting Tua Tagovailoa 5th overall, an experiment that may have come to a merciful end this season. Miami will almost certainly be on the hunt for a new QB, which could start this coming offseason, putting them firmly in the Burrow conversation.
The Dolphins have some roster holes to fill and money issues to resolve in the coming months, making it unlikely that they’d be willing to trade valuable draft capital as it currently stands. Still, BetOnline has Miami near the top of the odds board for a Burrow trade.

Las Vegas Raiders (+500)
It would make sense for the Raiders to attempt to trade for Joe Burrow. The team’s quarterback situation remains in disarray after the failed Geno Smith experiment, and Tom Brady and the rest of the ownership group could be ready to swing for the fences. They have the ammunition, with the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft likely belonging to Las Vegas, and Maxx Crosby could be someone that the Bengals inquire about, as well.
