Eight teams remain in the College Football Playoff. The quarterfinals now move to four New Year’s Six locations: Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl, and Sugar Bowl. Listed below is the schedule, times, and information on how to watch the College Football Playoff Quarterfinals.

No. 2 Ohio State vs. No. 10 Miami

The defending national champions begin their quest to repeat at the Cotton Bowl.

The Ohio State Buckeyes enter the Cotton Bowl fresh off their first loss of the season at the hands of the Indiana Hoosiers. Ohio State might be the most complete team in the country, with arguably the nation’s best player on offense โ€“ Jeremiah Smith โ€” and defense โ€” Arvell Reese.ย

Miami’s defense carried the Hurricanes to a 10-3 win over Texas A&M in the opening round. Does Miami have the offense to hang around with the Buckeyes?

No. 4 Texas Tech vs. No. 5 Oregon

  • ๐Ÿˆย Game:ย Texas Tech vs. Oregon
  • ๐Ÿ—“๏ธย Date: Jan. 1
  • ๐Ÿ•—ย Time: 12 p.m. ET
  • ๐ŸŸ Location: Orange Bowl, Hard Rock Stadium โ€” Miami Gardens, Florida

Texas Tech has not played a close game since losing to Arizona State on Oct. 18. The Red Raiders have scored over 29 points in every game since that loss.

Texas Tech’s defense has been the more impressive unit, allowing fewer than 10 points in five of its last six games.

Texas Tech has not faced a quarterback as talented as Oregon’s Dante Moore, who could be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Last year, Oregon fell in this round to Ohio State a season ago. Will history repeat itself?

No. 1 Indiana vs. No. 9 Alabama

  • ๐Ÿˆย Game:ย Indiana vs. Alabama
  • ๐Ÿ—“๏ธย Date: Jan. 1
  • ๐Ÿ•—ย Time: 4 p.m. ET
  • ๐ŸŸ Location: Rose Bowl โ€” Pasadena, California
  • ๐Ÿ“บ TV Channel:ย ESPN, ESPN2
  • ๐Ÿ’ป Live Stream:ย ESPN App

Indiana’s magical season continued with an impressive 13-10 win over Ohio State in the Big 10 Championship.

Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza and the Hoosiers will be out to prove that this season has not been a fluke.

Standing in the way between Indiana and perfection is Alabama, which defeated Oklahoma in the opening round.

The Crimson Tide fell behind 17-0 to the Sooners before coming back to win 34-24. If the Tide falls behind again at the Rose Bowl, the Hoosiers won’t allow a comeback.

No. 3 Georgia vs. No. 6 Ole Miss

  • ๐Ÿˆย Game:ย Georgia vs. Ole Miss
  • ๐Ÿ—“๏ธย Date: Jan. 1
  • ๐Ÿ•—ย Time: 8 p.m. ET
  • ๐ŸŸ Location: Sugar Bowl, Caesars Superdome โ€” New Orleans, Louisiana
  • ๐Ÿ“บ TV Channel:ย ESPN, ESPN2
  • ๐Ÿ’ป Live Stream:ย ESPN App

The only rematch in the quarterfinals is Georgia versus Ole Miss. In their first meeting, Georgia made a late comeback to win 43-35.

The players will remain the same for Ole Miss, but the coaching staff will be different.

Lane Kiffin is at LSU, and new coach Pete Golding will look to pick up a program-changing win over Kirby Smart and Georgia.
