Devin Booker and the Suns were on the road Tuesday to face the Heat. It was the first of six consecutive road games for Phoenix. Against the Heat, the Suns lost 127-121.
Dillon Books and Grayson Allen were tied for a team-high 25 points, but it was not enough for a win. Phoenix is 24-16 in 2025-26, seventh in the Western Conference. Recently, Suns’ SG Devin Booker made comments about how voting is held for the All-Star Game. The 29-year-old argued that it has become “fan-voting.” Additionally, Booker said he is “playing better” than a lot of guys ahead of him on the list.

Devin Booker believes he’s better than many of the players ranked ahead of him in All-Star voting
“It’s fan voting. There are some super big market teams. There are guys from different countries that have a whole country behind them. I kind of understand the process, but am I… pic.twitter.com/89lOJC6l6n

In 2025-26, Devin Booker is in his 11th professional season with the Suns. Booker was the 13th overall pick by Phoenix in the 2015 NBA draft out of Kentucky. This season, Booker has appeared and started in 37 of the team’s 40 games. The four-time all-star is playing at a high level for the Suns in the first half of the year. Booker is averaging 25.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game. His points and assists per game lead the Suns this season.
Additionally, Devin Booker is top 20 for all players in points and assists per game in 2025-26. With that production, Devin Booker was ranked 17th in the latest return of all-star votes. Recently, Booker shared his thoughts on being lower on the list compared to other players. Phoenix’s SG argued that “fan-voting” has a massive impact on a smaller market like Phoenix. That’s compared to larger NBA cities like Los Angeles and New York that have multiple players in the top 17.

Devin Booker mentioned foreign players being backed by an entire country. While he didn’t exactly single anyone out, it was clear who he was talking about. Portland’s Deni Avdija and Houston’s Aleperen Sengun are in the top 10. Avdija’s home country is Israel, and Sengun is from Turkey. Not only are they receiving votes from fans in the USA, but fans across the country are voting as well. That’s why Deni Avdija and Alperen Sengun are higher than Americans like Devin Booker.
Today, Wednesday, January 14, is the final day for fans to vote for the 2026 All-Star Game. On top of that, it’s the last of the “3-for-1” days. Any votes for a player today will automatically be tripled. If Devin Booker has any loyal fans wishing to see their favorite player, today’s the day to make it happen.
Booker will likely miss out on being voted in as a starter. However, the 29-year-old has a strong chance to make it as a reserve. With All-Star voting closing on Wednesday evening, expect the NBA to release the results by the end of the week.
