NFL Rumors: 3 Players The Buffalo Bills Should Target In 2026

The Buffalo Bills saw their Super Bowl hopes slip away during Saturday’s heartbreaking postseason loss to the Denver Broncos. They’ll enter the 2026 NFL offseason with question marks up and down their roster, and will once again re-tool in order to keep their championship window open with Josh Allen still in his prime.

NFL Rumors: Who Should The Buffalo Bills Target This Offseason?

Here are three players that they can target in the upcoming months, by way of free agency, trade, as well as the draft:

A.J. Brown labels Eagles season “a s–t show,” Sirianni weighs in.

AJ Brown — WR (Trade w/ Eagles)

It is all but certain that AJ Brown’s time with the Philadelphia Eagles is up. The relationship between team and player appeared to be more fractured with every passing week of the 2025 season, and things came to a tumultuous culmination in their eliminating loss in the Wild Card round. The Eagles will likely look to move on from the 28-year-old wide receiver, and they’ll have to trade him in order to do so.

The Bills could be one of the interested parties. Allen has lacked a top-flight wideout since the departure of Stefon Diggs a couple of years ago, and Brown could check off some of the boxes for Buffalo’s visions for their offense. But would the front office be willing to invest draft capital and cap room in order to bring in a surefire number one option?

Malcolm Koonce — DE (Free Agency)

The Bills ranked 20th in the NFL in total sacks, and they will likely spend some resources revamping their pass rush for next season and beyond. Aging veterans like Matt Milano and Joey Bosa have expiring contracts this season, and Buffalo is unlikely to spend free agent money on guys who are aging out.

Instead, they could choose to allocate their funds in order to get more youthful on the edges. There are a handful of solid options on the projected free agent market, with Malcolm Koonce being one of the younger targets. After missing the entire 2024 season, Koonce returned for the Raiders in 2025 and played all 17 games. He amassed just 4.5 sacks, but hit the quarterback 13 times and had 6 tackles for loss.

Denzel Boston — WR (2026 NFL Draft)

Even if the Bills go after a big name wide receiver by way of trade or free agency, it is still likely that they spend valuable draft capital on a pass catcher during the 2026 selection process. As it stands in mid-January, they currently hold the 26th overall pick in the first round, and there are a few WR options based on recent mock drafts.

Boston emerged as one of the most complete receivers in college football during the 2025 season, combining size, physicality, and reliable hands with the ability to win at all three levels of the field. Pairing Boston with Allen would give the Bills a potential No. 1 receiver on a rookie contract, while allowing them to spend future cap space elsewhere as they continue to build a championship-caliber roster.
