2026 Winter Olympics: What Will Team USA Be Wearing At The Opening Ceremony?

The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, Italy are just days away. The excitement is mounting for Team USA and its athletes as they travel to Italy and begin traini5g.

Many will take a break from training to participate in the opening ceremony on February 6, 2026. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many of the athletes to march in the parade of nations and participate in the revelry and grandeur of the opening ceremony.

Ralph Lauren has once again been selected as the designer to outfit Team USA for the Olympics.

What Will Team USA Athletes Be Wearing?

Lauren once again outdid itself with the red, white, and blue looks for the Team USA athletes.

The opening ceremony look will be the white long jacket, with the red, white, and blue hat and matching sweater and brown boots.

When asked about the design process process, David Lauren said the team collects information from current and former athletes and takes into account the location. “Then you put it through the Ralph Lauren lens, and you come out with something that should feel new and fresh but should be enduring. It should play into the codes of timelessness and classic. We want to create something that is historical. We know that we have a responsibility to give the athletes a sense of confidence and comfort on a global stage, and we want to tell a story about optimism and hope.”

What Else Do We Know About The Opening Ceremony?

We have not yet learned who the Team USA flagbearers will be for the 2026 Winter Olympics opening ceremony.

Mariah Carey is the headlined performer, and Andrea Bocelli, the famed Italian singer, is also expected to perform.

The theme is harmony or “Armonia” in Italian.

NBC/Peacock will air live coverage of the opening ceremony will begin at 2:30 PM ET on Friday, February 6. An encore presentation will be aired at 8:00 PM.

Terry Gannon, Shaun White, and Mike Tirico (contributing from the site of Super Bowl LX in California) will be the co-hosts. Savannah Guthrie was also a planed cohost.
