World Cup Fans Grow Concerned As ‘Cursed’ Supporter Continues Losing Run
Casey Settleman, known for his appearances on Snapback Sports YouTube channel, has caused quite a stir online after setting a record for most consecutive days going to a World Cup match.
The online influencer has been to at least one World Cup game a day during the 2026 tournament – but that is not what has caught the eye of supporters.
Settleman selects a nation to support for every game and the American is currently on a run of nine matches without a win.
This came during the group stage clash between Sweden and Netherlands, where Settleman was supporting the Dutch and the Oranje secured a 5-1 victory.
Since then, every nation that has been backed by the Snapback Sports star has either lost or tied – with the most recent victims being Japan during their Ro32 defeat by Brazil.

Settleman’s curse appeared to have affected South Africa, as Bafana Bafana were beaten 1-0 by Canada in the final stages of the match.
One nation that will be hoping for this curse to be lifted is Sweden, as Settleman is set to support Graham Potter’s side during their Ro32 clash against France.
He is then set to watch England vs DR Congo, but his allegiance is yet to be confirmed. Settleman has already supported England during the tournament – backing the Three Lions against Ghana.
After this, the American influencer will head to Colombia vs Ghana before ending the Ro32 stage with a trip to see Lionel Messi as Argentina take on Cape Verde.
