A few days before the start of Indian Wells, Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz faced off at the Netflix Slam in Las Vegas.

Absent since early January, when he lost to Jordan Thompson in the quarterfinals of the Brisbane International, Rafael Nadal made his comeback in Las Vegas at the Netflix Slam, an exhibition tennis tournament. He played against his compatriot Carlos Alcaraz, who was also back after suffering a sprained right ankle in the first round of his appearance in Rio.

Having arrived in the United States a few days ago to prepare for Indian Wells, the Majorcan was able to test his mettle and reassure himself in this exhibition against the world #2. In just under two hours of play, the younger of the two Spaniards finally came out on top in the third set, played as a super tie-break (6-3, 4-6, 14-12).

Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal will meet again in Indian Wells for the first ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, which will start on March 6th and wrap up on the 17th.
