A little over a month ago, Fanatics Betting and Gaming completed their buyout of PointsBet. New Jersey was the last PointsBet state that existed. Now, they have rebranded to Fanatics Sportsbook. Fans in New Jersey can now download the Fanatics Sportsbook app on iOS or Android. The Garden State is the 20th that Fanatics has successfully launched a brand new online sportsbook. 

PointsBet users do not have to worry. All of their information including username, account balance, and reward points will all be moved to Fanatics Sportsbook. Data says that approximately 95% of the addressable online sports market now has access to Fanatics Sportsbook. Fanatics continues to expand across the United States

Once Fanatics completed their buyout of PointsBet, they did not hesitate to enter the online sports betting market. In early April, they launched in Illinois and Arizona. Now, Fanatics Sportsbook is offered in New Jersey. Online gambling and sports betting are a major source of revenue in Garden State, New Jersey is consistently top-five in terms of their statewide betting handle. This past March, sportsbooks in New Jersey brought in $1.3 billion in wagers. That was top-five in the state’s history in terms of monthly wagers total amongst online operators, casinos, and racetracks. 

Fanatics Sportsbook is entering a competitive betting market in New Jersey. PointsBet ended on a high note in March 2024 and Fanatics looks to continue that success. With $2.5 million more than DraftKings in March, PointsBet finished top six for their monthly revenue. Fanatics hopes the PointsBet customers will keep their accounts that have been converted and continue to use their betting market.
