A New York state lottery player has claimed a $1,000 a week for life prize in the Cash4Life game, according to the New York State Gaming Commission

Lissa Rose Marquez of Jamaica, Queens, matched the first five Cash4Life numbers in the game drawn on Jan. 29, winning the second prize. This prize guarantees a minimum payout of $1,000,000.

The winning numbers were: 12, 42, 43, 45, 53 and Cash Ball 03.

New York lottery player Lissa Rose Marquez asked to receive the payout in a single lump sum payment of $612,240

Marquez opted to receive the payout in a single lump sum payment of $612,240 after required withholdings, per the gaming commission’s official website.

According to the state lottery’s report, the ticket was bought at Little Neck Supermarket at 25445 Horace Harding Expressway in Little Neck, New York.

Winning numbers for the Cash4Life game are drawn from a field of 1 to 60. Moreover, the cash ball is drawn from a separate field of 1 to 4.

However, in order to win the Cash4Life top prize, players must match the six numbers on their ticket to the winning six-number combination drawn — five numbers and the cash ball.

The top prize is $1,000 a day for life. It is payable as a for-life annuity (minimum of 20 years) of $365,000 per year or a one-time lump sum payment at the election of the winner. In fact, the amount of the lump sum payment is equal to the estimated cash required to purchase the annuity.

The Cash4Life drawing takes place daily at 9 p.m. ET.

During fiscal year 2022-23, the Cash4Life game earned approximately $119,468,369 in total sales.

School districts in the five boroughs received $1,070,470,430 in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same period.

Chi Lee Lee claimed a $2 million Powerplay prize for matching the first five numbers drawn on Feb. 26

Additionally, Marquez was not the only big winner. Chi Lee Lee of Elmhurst claimed a $2,000,000 Powerplay prize for matching the first five Powerball numbers drawn on Feb. 26.

When purchased, the optional $1 Powerplay feature allows players to multiply a non-jackpot prize up to 10 times and automatically doubles the $1,000,000 second prize.

Furthermore, the winning numbers were: 24 29 42 51 54 Power Ball 16.

Lee received a single lump sum payment of $1,224,481, after required withholdings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lucky Huang Grocery Store located at 8261 Broadway in Elmhurst, New York.

Of course, the gambling odds of either player winning are roughly one in a billion.
